I think this is taking the Global warming bit a tad too far ...

Reuters AlertNet - 'Death map' shows heat a big hazard to Americans:

"Heat is more likely to kill an American than an earthquake, and thunderstorms kill more people than hurricanes do, according to a U.S. 'death map' published on Tuesday."

Heat isn't so much the problem in most of these cases as much as it is -- building codes which make it less likely that a building will fall on you ... while in some cases heat will kill you because they are including data from people who die in such things as the 100+ people who were being smuggled in from Mexico in the back of a semi-truck.

As far as the Thunderstorms .... let's get it straight, most of them are IDIOTS trying to VIDEO TAPE a storm so they can be on TV! sounds like nature thinning the herd to me.

but you know -- they have to make it sound like we are all in dire circumstances ... like if we walk out of our houses a peice of sky will fall on our heads.
