"Cafeteria" catholic?

Okay if you haven't heard of the term it refers to people who pick n' choose what parts of the doctrine they like and leave the rest .... only thing is -- the congregation is known for doing this ... the priests should never do it.

I'm sorry - but if he felt himself straying away, why didn't he leave the priesthood first and then persue his relationship? I mean its not like he didn't know what he was getting into here .... they pretty much spelled it all out ... and Deacons ARE allowed to marry and have families so it isn't like the Catholic Church doesn't have a place for him ...

It isn't just a 'timing' issue because by the sounds of it ... the only reason he left the Catholic church was because he got caught

It isn't a matter of 'forgiveness' === its a matter of someone wanting to do what they want and not be told its wrong.
