THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB: SEASON 2, EPOSODE 6 .... season finale ....

 This is going to be a had one .... it's the last show of the season!!! OMG - why are British seasons so short???

Well - don't worry .... according to IMDB - or at least a link on their page - the show has been renewed for another season!!!!

In fact - it seems they began filming it in May of 2025 ... so hopefully, next year we will be having more of these types of posts :D

Also - I have learned the name of the female in charge of the police side of things -- Tatika Malibb - very pretty name.

so let's get this started .... but first ....

As usual, there is a likelihood that I may give away something BIG during this recap of what's happening ....

But I try to be a vague as possible - giving away very little (I think) ....

but I could be wrong .... 

Season 2, Episode 6 (season finale)

Well, it seems I was mistaken last week about my body count - the episode opens with the man groaning under the boat ... 2 people - one guy, one gal - and they find him there, and call for help.

The man beneath the boat was named James Wicken (or wickham, or Wickam,I've no idea really) .... he had only a badly bruised arm.  Wait - a big butted boat falls on him, and he didn't even break a bone???  We work with boats all the time - if they fall, somethings gonna get hurt more than a bruise.

It turns out, if I had been paying attention last episode, that Jack Wickham is the Club Commodore - he runs the boating club (nothing to do with the Murder Club, this is going to get confusing)

He winds up asking Tatika to stop investigating ... to which her eyes say "excuse me?" ... his excuse? Jackie has been through enough.

The Murder Club finds a boat where someone has been sleeping, an obviously abandoned boat ... and it looks like the police were called in to investigate it.

The police find Greg Cooper (the man who was hiding) and arrest him for the murder of Kit Harcort (or Harcorp) .... and the guy is a mess - he freely admits to getting into a fight, but denies he killed him ....

A man goes outside and calls someone on the phone and reports that Greg was just arrested, but he ends with "....they've got nothing on us - so far, so good" .... that sound ominous!!!

Later that day - Judith goes out skinny-dipping in the river as usual, where she thinks about everything they know ....

There's something important about boat members hats - something to do with the number of stripes - so Judith stops by the Boat Club to talk to one of the officials about the club kit ... um, uniform ... and they find one member's hat missing.

Someone, a woman, calls Susie's phone but gets her voicemail - she says she knows who did it and is sending proof now ...

Meanwhile, the Murder Club is meeting at Judith's, where they wait for the engine thief to show up.

it turns out that they simply found enginge thieves - two as a matter of fact .... One of whom is Harry ... 

Oh and the woman who called was Jackie - she's related to Harry (I want to say daughter) ... and the Murder Club find her out cold and call an ambulance.

And this where I have to stop. Or I'll give it all away ...

 BUT. I will say, Tatika does not lose her position after all ... So we can expect her back next season!

A very good season, I wonder how they will work it next year?

  

MARLOW MURDER CLUB: SEASON 2, EPISODE 5

And look - another MURDER takes place .... so let's start this with the obligatory ...

SPOILER ALERT

I may - inadvertantly, or perhaps on purpose - reveal a thing or two ....about what happens, who dies, how they were killed ... etc.  but I will try my best not to give away whom the killer is ...

But this one - like the last two - will likely wrap in in this episode and the next as well.

So let's get to it ....

Season 2, Episode 5

It opens with Judith digging up an escavation site - she was supposed to be retired, but apparently when an ancient sword is found .... she just couldn''t resist!  Well - who could, really.

Suddenly, there are sirens .... and right across the street from the dig, is a murder scene.

The Club gets snooping around and find all sorts of "clues" .... such as an old photograph .... an old story about someone having stolen stuff from the boating club .... and Judith uses a UV light to find spots of oil which lead to where the died man had been found - but the3 suddenly disappeared.

The female lead detective, still haven't figured out her name yet - even though they say it every episdoe, I just can't catch it - Tatanka or something like that. any how - she is expecting to lose her position in the department because the person she was replacing - due to some medical situation - is supposed to be retuning soon .... so she wants to solve this case.

EWWWW - a man is working on a boat - checking the keel (so he's UNDER the boat) when he hears the door to the "garage" (what would you call a place where they work on boats?) and he starts talking to Larry, who he thinks it is - but suddenly ... and this is kind of gross .... the boat is shoved/pushed/falls from it's sawhorses (I have no idea how they would hold it up) and ....

Squishes the guy!!!!!

Like I said .... EWWWWW.

Meanwhile - the Murde Club has set things into place for what Judith has dubbed "Operation Colossium" - of course, Susan and Beck have absolutely no idea what she is talking about.

Body count: 2

Suspects: none so far, or lots so far ... they haven't really said - although, there is a missing man, which Susan is interested in finding.

LAWSUITS ... from several days ago now ....

 Yup, I'm late - but I just couldn't pass this by ...and it has too much information to transcribe .... so here's the video ... it is NOT MINE .... I'm just saying .... but it's interesting to say the least!  

IT'S A TIMING ISSUE ....

 So - let's start off with a simple statement that I am no expert ... nor have I found a copy of the clip/routine involved ... but if I find it, I will throw it in here.

Now - Jimmy Kimmel ... he's not my cup of tea, so to speak - I love tea, I don't like his brand of humor.

BUT .... I do have an opinion of what happened to the guy.

I think his suspension was justified ... not so much for what he said (he's never hidden the fact that he's a liberal) but that it had already been proven WRONG by the time the show aired ....

actually, it had been shown to be wrong SEVERAL HOURS before the show was aired.

It had been determined that the Kirk Assassin had in fact NOT been a member of MAGA .... that he was a LIBERAL ... that he "leaned left" ... and that he had an emotional relationship with his "roommate" who was transitioning to "Female" ... which I have no issue with but I mention it because it is the TRUTH.

By allowing this particular "bit" to be included, he knew what he was doing!

He took the chance that he was going to get canned.

And .... he got suspended, indefinately.

Now - the whole "suspension" bit is ... well ... just a bit - they didn't "fire" him ... they didn't do anything other than give this guy an unpaid vacation!

They will wait for a bit, for things to settle down a bit, and they likely will bring him back.

BUT - since the show is PRE-RECORDED ... the way everything is done these days ... they could have very easily plucked that singular bit out once the news came out - and the PRODUCER of the show should be held liable ... oh wait - that's Jimmy Kimmel too, I think.

I do not see what the worry and buzz is all about ... Disney will be fine ... ABC will be fine ... and Jimmy Kimmel will be fine - he's got more money than you realize - he's already figuring out ways to BENEFIT from this .... he'll be fine.

Still heartless, but fine.

THE GAMES THEY PLAY ....

 It doesn't matter who's in charge .... although, the Dems seem to be a tad beter at it than the Repubs .... but whoever is on the minority side of the aisle, must throw on the brakes on the National Budget.

So the Repulicans are in the majority power of the House of Representatives - who controls the purse strings, as my father used to say - and they MUST pass a CR (Continuing Resolution) in order for the government not to shut down ....

Well, Shumer has decided he needs to add a bit of money to the budget ..... $1.4 TRILLION .... wait - what?

AMERICANS don't get free healthcare, why the heck should these people?????

I know - WWJD, and all that stuff - but I think itt would be better for our underpriviledged people to give up their citizenship and stay .... against the law .... so they can get all these free things too!!!

What the heck -- you know I'm joiking - I am against these moves .... but today's youth WON'T even try to learn what is going on .....

why those with questionable immigration should get these things ... for NOTHING .... they will will say "why not?"

But .... This is the same group of people who don't understand the way Apple Pay works .... I will see if I can find the clip on this one ...

BUT - let's just say they should not be ALLOWED to be in a better position than ANYONE ELSE in the country ....

That's all I'm saying.

MARLOW MURDER CLUB: SEASON 2, EPISODE 4

Now, this is disappointing .... in Season 1, there was a SINGLE murderer and the thrill was trying to figure out who the heck it was supposed to be .... but apparently in Season 2, there will likely be several SEPERATE murderers.

Such that episodes 1&2 were one murderer and now here we have a new mystery to solve ....

so, let's start with the obligatory

    This post is likely to contain information from the show, which may give away important elements of the plotline.
    You have been WARNED

Okay - here we go:

First - both bodies were born the same year, although they had died in different years, obviously, but it is likely tthey may have either known each other  .... or .... they may have been mixed up for each other.

It turns out, they had been in a rock-n-roll band together ... and the one found dead in the cul-de-sac had showed up at the buried ones mother's funeral.

All this was relayed by the father of the buried one, who had busted into Judith's house ... wow - she greeted him with a spear laced with chili powder and bleach, btw.

Turned out the both murderers have to do with a girl .... at the time, she was a girl .... 

But - the Club finds/solves the whole thing, while the police are just standing there scratching their heads.

Hmmmm .... we still have more episodes to come too.

MARLOW MURDER CLUB: SEASON 2, EPISODE 3

 Well - I have to say I am a little disappointed with the new season .... yet somehow, it seems more "American" .... that is ...

Episodes 1&2 were a single mystery ... by the end of episode 2, it was done.  Shocking - last season took the WHOLE SEASON to find the killer .... I am kind of hoping somehow each of the murders will bundle together.

So episode 3 .... NEW MURDER CASE ..........

It opens with a dead body laying in the middle of a cal-de=sac, you know, a circular drive which services several homes ... not a circular driveway, which are all the rage in American McMansions these days.

Meanwhile, at Judith's house, the Club is deciding to help her clear out some of her aunt's old things. When Beck accidentally knocks over a photo of the aunt - a dyed-in-the-wool bachlerette, didn't need nor want a man - when Judith picks up the photo, she finds it has been folded in half.  On the other half is the other part of the photo - with a mystery man.

I'm thinking this likely is a red herring, just like the crosswords from the first 2 episodes.

The Club hears the police sirens and show up at the crime scene - unusual, they didn't beat the cops this time, huh - where a group of neighbors have gathered to watch the "fun" - luckily, Susan knows a way into the crime scene through the woods - she is a dog-walker by trade, remember?

When they show up - instead of getting booted out (as they should have) Judith approaches the body and snaps a photo of the man's she - which have a model number on the bottom.

his is so corny ... and viola - they now have his ID... so contrived ... Susan points out the pollen on his pants belongs to ragweed, which is all through the woods.

The Club talks to a pair of neighbors who didn't come out to look - but when they leave, a mysterious old man takes their photo .... hmmm, what's this all about??

Beck is beginning to get a story of her own as well - she has always been a fairly "background" character, all we know of her is she's the vicar's wife and has 2 kids ... but now, we find she has something going on with the Art teacher!! But what it is .... well, that's a mystery ... for now.

The mysterious old guy is looking up internet news stories about Judith - so we're likely to have some development there.  I'm going to guess it has something to do with her aunt.

At the end - a second body is dug up .... hee hee.
