"House Democrats, concerned that rising energy prices will erase the benefit of the tax rebates sent to more than 100 million households this year, said they are weighing plans for a second economic stimulus proposal."Just remember that when Bush proposed tax rebates/stimulus packages it was the dems who bitched and complained that it was a 'band-aid' and would do no good, that it was a 'gimmick' meant to give the republican candidate a bounce in the polls.
Now they want to give one of their own to get that same 'bounce' .... but the problem is by the time it gets thru its going to be nearly Christmas/Yule for most people.
How about just following the economic experts opinions and lower taxes over all, raise interest rates, and give people back the major deductions for kids as long as they are full-time students.
Yes you read that right, full-time students -- this would mean that parents who have kids attending some post high school education can still get a tax break to help their kids with tuition/housing/clothes/etc. which they do anyways but are hurting over it.
