THE LONE RANGER NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE

This is NOT my video ... but its definitely worth watching

While this does start with a poke at Germany/Austria ... apparently, lessons have not been learned by ANYONE ... at about 10 minutes in they take a closer look at the use of CLOTH masks and how effective they are.

A couple things:

=-= the "studies" they site are "Observational" studies ... this means the study will be extremely hard to replicate.  So, not exactly "scientific"

=-= the Observational studies did not specify, or at least he did not mention it in this clip, how they determined whether a masked worked or not

=-= There are mentions of studies in several other countries which did in fact use Scientific Method (making it easier to duplicate/verify) the results

=-= in these SM studies, it showed that masks were either non-effective or very minimally effective

=-= the SM studies did show that SURGICAL masks (aka not the ones the general population can afford to buy) are the most effective. But even these rates are low ... 0.09% ... yup - its more effective to simply cover you mouth with your hand. Geez!

It strikes me more that the study cover (from Denmark) which he shows labels the virus not as "Covid-19" or "Corona Virus" but rather as "SARS-COV-2"

Wait ... SARS?????  Isn't that known as "Bird Flu"?  Didn't that kill a LOT of people in China?

Interesting ... but lets not make any links to China ... lets talk instead of having a bunch of IDIOTS in charge who refuse to acknowledge an issue ... or face a fact.

Then too, there's Iowa and their hunting season ... oh wait - I'm about to get off on a tangent ... you'll have to watch for a separate posting on this one.  It makes me shake my head.

BACK TO THE MASKS:

There have only been **2** ... 2, that's it ... studies that have even looked at whether masks are actually EFFECTIVE at stopping the virus.

One showed that masks might actually be making it WORSE, but the numbers were so close to 0, and switched from positive to negative so often, that they couldn't draw any conclusions. 

The other study, which had a control group, showed that the effectiveness of masks ranged from 0-18% ... so either everybody is exposed or 18% of the population is safe.

This means of every 50 people (look around, if you're in public it won't be hard to find 50 people) - now randomly pick out 9 people ... that's it, just 9 ... there you go, that's how many people might be saved from the virus by using a mask.

hmmm ... that's not a very good number -- but when we first found out about the virus, it would have been enough while an EFFECTIVE  vaccine was produced (remember, the ones they offer now are about as effective as a Flu "vaccine", likely we will need boosters every year ... but I'm jumping way ahead)

At 15 minutes in -- I know this is a LONG post, sorry -- they start talking about Masks and Kids (thus the Lone Ranger reference) ... it turns out that the reason children in K-3rd grads have to wear masks is because ... well, simply ... school boards tend to over-react when a child gets sick.

Well - its actually less about the school boards over reacting to the possibility of the kids getting sick, as it is to pissing off the TEACHER UNIONS and having to deal with all that crap -- after all, it was the TUs which pushed for the mask mandates in the first place.

So while we are raising a generation of kids with learning disabilities & speech issues, we at least will keep the unions satisfied.  ((eye roll here))

Makes me wonder how long before we will be required to wear HazMat suits ... its likely the ONLY way to make sure we won't spread any disease.
