WHAT I'M LISTENING TO ...

I had to take a short beak from L.Frank Baum ... 

I didn't realize that this was actually a BOOK!  Its one of the few war movies I enjoyed watching as a child ... I think because I only "saw" the funny parts, the horrors just didn't stick I guess.  

My father, who had served, never seemed to be around during these movies - he seemed to have to do paperwork or something in the basement or garage.

I didn't learn until my 12 year old daughter interviewed her grandfathers for a school report what he had actually done during the war at one point ...

I can't blame him ... no ... he was not a prisoner.
