So I watched a bit of the Willis/Wade Hearing today ... they were going over paperwork that had been filled out ... by the man -- my coverage started at 11am ET/10am CT.
For clarification .... Willis is the female lawyer (gal/woman)
Wade is the male lawyer (guy/man) ... if you're offended - move to a different blog - I have my rights to speech as well!
Anyways ... the big question is:
Is a CREDIT CARD STATEMENT the same as a RECIEPT
if you've ever tried to return a product - you will find that NO they are not the same thing.
The difference?
Look at your Credit Card statement -- it will tell you where you were, how much you spent, but that's it.
Now look at a corresponding Reciept -- it will tell you when you were there, how much you spent, and what you purchased - each and every thing you purchased - there's no question that $14 was spent on a burger, $20 on a beer, $5 on a tip ... it is much more percise.
Also - I have a really big issue with Wade having a "Business Credit Card" ... why?
Because he admitted to Using. it. For. EVERYTHING!
From paying for airline tickets .... to dinners ... to PRIVATE TUITION for his kid's PRIVATE SCHOOL ... to items for his MOTHER ...
In general, if you are given a Business credit card you will be told to save ALL RECIEPTS ... and if you accidentally put private things on the card, you will be asked to pay it back (plus interest/fees) ... some places will either scold you, give a formal reprimand, take the card back, or they might even FIRE YOU.
Businesses/Companies/etc are very very careful with this type of thing.
Wade, the guy, openly admitted that he paid for trips, food, items with his card ... and that Willis, the gal, paid him back her share of the charges in cash ... um ... so that doesn't make sense either.
If she had cash, why didn't she simply pay for things then?
As an attorney, wouldn't he make sure he gave/recieved a reciept form/to Willis to show things had actually been paid back?
Plus --
I would think she would have had a larger credit limit on her card ... so why wouldn't SHE pay for things on HER card?
This is a total mess.
