BUT ISN'T THIS JUST RACISM??

So - I've been pretty well glued to the tv today ... tummy issues and back ache, one caused by twisting  and bending at the same time (when will I learn) and the other because I've gotta get used to the water in this house again.
Spent 2 weeks on the farm, and that water tasted sooooooo good!

Well on Outnumbered (FNC) there was a clip about something Bill Maher said on his show (last show I saw of his was "Politcally Incorrect" back when it was FREE on our local, don't need cable to see it, pre-digital channel ... anyone else miss those days??) - I do not know the name of his new show .... yet ... if I find out, I will post it, but I've no real desire to watch him.

Anyhow - the story he was talking about was how the Democratic party is losing Minority voters ... and he talked about Missing Children Alerts in the state of California, where his show is taped.

While most of the US has ONE single alert, akd Amber Alerts
In California, they have THREE .... for now, I suspect they will get more.

EBONY ALERT: A missing BLACK/AFRICAN-AMERICAN child

FEATHER ALERT: A missing Native American child

AMBER ALERT: everybody else .... whites/asian/hispanics/latinos/canadians/etc.

Yeah .... WHY????

All this system will do is make it HARDER to find these kids!

They have a tough enough time having people pay attention to Amber Alerts ... why will people pay attention to these?

I know in Minnesota, North and Sounth Dakota, there have been some complaints about not getting enough NEWS COVERAGE for missing Native American children ... but the issue had nothing to do with the Amber Alert system, it had more to do with news stations not wanting to send reporters 6-8 hours away ....

that would be like sending a reporter to Chicago everytime there was a missing child there.

Basically, the networks were saying, if you want coverage, get a network station in YOUR area to submit it to the national news center.

But why do they have to SEGREGATE them by the color of their skin???
I don't think they would have been KIDNAPPED because of the color of their skin ..."
And just because you have a simular color of skin shouldn't make it more likely that you'd pay more attention to one alert or another.

Never once have I not gotten an Amber Alert and thought "well that isn't my race, I'm not even gonna read anymore"
Usually because I tend to stay home-bound .... I tend to get car sick, so i tend to stay in one spot, not because I can'tt get about, I just find it easier NOT to go places if I have to use a vehicle.  but more on this later.

And I really don't think ANYONE who is in their proper mind would think that either.

I'm pretty sure ... an Amber Alert covers EVERYONE ...

How many Amber Yellow kids have you ever seen??

"Amber" was chosen for 2 reasons:
1)Amber is the center color of a spot light, it is the color of turn signals on cars - it means '"PAY ATTENTION"
2)Amber was the name of the litle missing girl, I don't remember if she was found okay or not, but her name was Amber and this would have allowed her to be found so much sooner.

Amber's parents pushed for this to become a federal program ...
It has its own webpage where you can go to see ALL the active alerts out there!  Nation wide.  Every state.

It has become so famous for working that it has inspired OTHER NATIONS to adopt similar programs. 

The Californian system, while it may have been thought of as "woke" at the time, is simply RACIST.

Just like you wouldn't have a separate alert for LGBTQ+ kids ....
Of one based solely on the parent political beliefs
Or even one based on the family's Religious views ...

You should NOT have one based on the ethnicity of a child/family either!

What is happening to this nation of ours???
