NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ...

If you are a child of the 70's the title will ring a bell ... it's from an old (well old now) show called Monty Python's Flying Circus ... most notably, the ensemble cast included several greats, but John Gleese (Sir John Gleese) was probably the most famous ...
He also appeared in anther BBC comedy series, Fawlty Towers, as well as the US film A Fish Called Wanda ... I truly encourage you to watch Fawlty Towers - its rough around the edges, not P.C. at all, but pokes fun at being totally British.

All this to say .... the Royals have made it to American news programs this morning.

Princess Catherine for the "scandal" surrounding photos she took and edited ... basically she played with photoshop to move a couple little things ... and since the press in the UK aren't getting the "original" photo they are stomping their feet.
Chances are - if the Princess is like many other amateur photographers - there likely is no longer an original, the doctored one having been "saved" over the top of the original.
Who knew this was going to cause such an uproar ....

Which leads me to the next bit ... the gal who has got to be loving it ... the Jan Brady of Royal Family -- Meghan Markle ....
The gal who totally decided she didn't have to take classes to learn to pour a cupI have of tea ... (insert eye roll here) ... has re-branded herself yet again.

Yes, she has now launched her new Instagram page ... with it new logo, name, stash of items for sale on the sight ...
gag me now ...
I have seen a video on YouTube going over several problems with the sight ... from too pale of a logo, to the style of the logo itself, to the name, to a video which is supposed to encapsulate what the sight/brand is about ...
But then, there's no love loss between the Markles and the creator ...

oh, and I call them the "Markles" not out of any disrespect, simply because I don't know if Prince Harry has a real last name ... and to call them the Windsor's might get them mixed up with the other Royals.

Now ... to the brothers.

I remember in college believing that someday Harry would actually become the King of England, instead of William ...
When Harry and Meghan moved to Canada during the "virus which shall not be named", I thought for sure that it was a move to ensure that IF the Royal family had been infected, one of the two brothers would survive to carry on ...
But, alas, no

Instead, it is Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret all over again ... only Princess Margaret didn't have anyone whispering in her ear all sorts of horrid things the way Harry does.

It was a big day in the UK ... the Diana Award, I'm not sure exactly what they are about, but since it was named after the late Princess Diana - who died in an auto-accident in 1997 (I remember watching the breaking news when it hit the US cable networks).

Prince William showed up in person to give the award ... I mean, he was physically there.  Standing on stage.  Where people could see him, hear him, etc.

Prince Harry called it in ... literally ... via internet ... (insert eye roll) .... remember - he just LOST his case for making the monarchy pay for his security while in the UK.
The Courts said that since he is no longer a "working Royal", he would then fall under the same catagory as a visiting celebrity to the country.
That he, and his family, would fall along the same line as Taylor Swift or Mick Jagger or the kid that appeared in the "Harry Potter" movies ...k

So he phoned it in ... in a segment of the show which did NOT have his brother anywhere near it.

What a little baby!  He is very much like his father in this way.

Then its back to Princess Catherine ... she is still not made a true "public appearance" although she has been seen riding to appointments in cars ...
In the front seat with her mother ... in the backseat with William - but the scandal here was that they did NOT go to the smae appointment,

Princess Catherine went to a medical appointment - likely just a check up, people, no biggie - while Prince William had some Royal business to conduct ... have no idea what that was.

It doesn't really matter, really ... its all just gossip.

It has been said that Princess Catherine had issues with her other pregnancies, so I thought perhaps she had gone in for cervical stitches in hopes of stopping a miscarriage -- its an old technique, but is still occasionally performed - and it would explain the long bedrest/recovery period ... since it deals with the general area, it could still be called "abdominal" surgery.
Then I thought, maybe her uterus got tilted, or maybe her bladder got tipped - both very common after having children, and most women don't even know that it has occured for years after they've given birth ... it also is "abdominal" surgery and would have a long recovery.
The last thought I had was a hernia ... they are fairly easy to get, and life-threatening even while waiting for an operation to correct them.
In the US we treat them as "outpatient", requires 2 tiny slits to be made, and about 2-4 weeks of recovery depending on how big it is.
I've no idea if they do it the old-fashioned way ... and since they have socialized medicine over there - it could very well be.

But ... any way you look at it ... its just fodder for the newspapers ... gossip sheets ... canary cage liners.
