Okay - now as you may have figured out by now, I am no fan of the school systems these days ... mostly because the teachers - who earn a lot more than you realize are always complaining about how little they get paid.

AND I do not like, nor do I usually agree with Bill Maurer - I think he's a stone butt hole actually, maybe I'd like him in-person but I doubt it.  He says he's a "Libretarian" but seems to really be a Democrat in what I grew up knowing as a Communist ... even though they like to call themselves as "Socialist"

Listen to most of what he says.

BUT - this time I think he gets pretty close to hitting the proverbial nail on the head ...

I agree - just like ANY JOB, teachers need to EARN their raises .... you can search my past posts to find out about my oldest daughter and her story ... I'm actually very proud of her - but the teachers assigned to her had very little to do with it.

Let's just say - do NOT wish for services/programs of an old school district to follow you. As the gals sitting behind me at our son's 8th grade graduation soon learned about.  I didn't hold back - I told them the whole "Oh I so wish we were like St. Paul schools" got a very pointed retort of "you don't know what you are talking about!" from me ... and then got the whole story, while my husband pretended not to know me ... lol.
