I remember this night - I remember thinking, this was just like when Jessie Ventura ran for governor -- it didn't get called until really late and we were all like "You've. Got. To. Be. Kidding."
I do NOT remember who I voted for, I just know it was NOT for Skip Humphrey ... it might have been Jesse or it might have been Coleman ... I do remember that I thought Coleman was a gret Mayor of St. Paul ... but I honestly do not remember who I voted for.
ANYWAY - The TITLE for the post ...
as you might know, I have a real problem with people who blame others for when things don't go their way ...
Obama kept saying "Bush did it"
Biden says "its the other guy"
Ford blamed Nixon for a bunch of stuff, Carter blamed Ford for a bunch of stuff
But I totally MISSED this one ... Gore - Gore himself, not his "people" - is actually said to have blamed Ralph Nader for his having lost the election.
WHAT???
I know, right?
Actually -- he should have blamed both Clintons ... Bill for making the mess in D.C. and Hillary for running for office on the same night -- she was only focused on one set of ballot boxes.
Although - if you listen to the dialogue of the reporters/anchormen you will hear some mention about a possibility of some shenanigans going on with votes in Chicago ... and possibly along the west coast as well!!!
Very interesting, I thiought.
Well -- the past is the past -- Al Gore did not have to deal with the 9/11 attacks, or bin Laden ... so all the ASPRIN FACTORIES were going to be safe.
