Anyhow ... so there is this clip of Montgomery County, MD Executive explaining the difference between his town and a "sanctuary city"
"... sanctuary city would have no list of things for which you'd turn people over to ICE - we have a long list of things for which we turn people over to ICE"
Someone may wish to tell this guy that there's no such thing as being "a litttle pregnant" or "a little married" AND there's no such thing as being "not quite a sanctuary city"
Don't get me wrong - the original definition of "sanctuary city" where if someone reported a crime didn't have the proper forms they needed - that sort of thing, I understand ... criminals were terrorizing these people because they knew they were too scared to report it ... it was horrid in big cities like NYC, LA, and Chicago.
But the crap they are doing now is horrible!
By the sounds of it, MOST violent crimes are not on the list to which the administrator referred to during the interview.
Let's hope these people haven't screwed the nation up so badly that it can't be fixed.
To think this all started back in the 80s (I want to say 1982) when fmr. President Ronald Reagan gave amnesty to those who entered the country without going through the proper channels.
Yes - it was a boneheaded move - I said so very loudly at the time, and I still think so all these years later.
