DEVIL'S ADVOCATE -- OR A QUICK TURN?

 So I was watching This Week (ABC) and they interviewed Sen. Chris Murphy (D) ... and I was so shocked!!  They actually asked hard quetions of this guy ... not too many softball ones here ...

Although, they did refer to the senate bill that contained the funding for the Border as a "Bi-Partisan" bill ... I'm sorry but I think only 1 person from the other party supporting it does NOT make it bi-partisan at all ... it makes it a Single Party bill with a ship-jumper
Although they started with a whopping 2 members of the Republican party, by the time they got done fiddling with it, the language with in the bill is what made one of them jump off the bandwagon!!

The man they had hosting the program today ... sorry, can't remember his name ... even asked about why it took 3 years for the Dems to decide to tackle this issue ....and it did - it took 3 years AFTER the initial reversal of ALL of the policies that had been put in place by President Trump.

3 years!!!!!

Rep. Murphy (D-Ct) said that the first week Mr. Biden was in office he sent a bill to Congress to settle the migrant issue ...
The host pointed out that the bill sent up didn't have anything to do with the border it had to do with granting citizenship to migrants (aka "amnesty" although he didn't say the word, but that's what it would be ... wrong for Reagan to do it, wrong for any President to do it, IMHO)

Also, according to Sen. Murphy - presidents do not have to right under the Constitution to be able to control the border without Congress ... 

Not so sure about that one .... EO (Executive Order) cannot be issued, from my understanding, can be issue while Congress is in session - which is why so many Presidents tend to issue a ton on their first day in office ... since the new Congress has not been sworn in yet, they are not technically "in session" ....
But we have seen the last 2 Presidents (Mr. Obama, Mr. Trump) sign EOs while congress was still in session.

In-Session simpky means that there are enough members from each party, for each chamber of Congress (that is, both the Senate and the House) to meet if there is an National Emergency to get whatever work needs to get done.

They rarely do this ... last time I think was when either Johnson or Nixon was in office ... its been quite a bit, I'm sure.

But - yes - according t the current President (Mr. Biden) he does have the power to sign an EO that would do something down at the border ... we just don't know what that would be...

According to Sen. Murphy - he can not make billions of dollars go down there to do anything with the border ... hmmm, somebody better look into this.\

Personally, I think this is all Butt Covring ...
ABC had on the bottom of the screen, where most people are gong to overlook it, but not me, that a poll was taken and 63% of voters DISAPPROVE of the way Mr. Biden is handling the border .... 

My concern - being from the Northern end of the country - is that the MEDIA has decided that we only have one border ....
Every day - whie they yak about drugs and migrants crossing the Southern border with Mexico - there are illegal drugs and migrants, criminals, people on the "do not fly" lists, etc crossing over the Northern borders too ...

Yup - you never hear about this one ...

And its been mentioned in old time radio shows since the 1930s!

Y'all might think that Canadians are mellow -- but remember, we were once at war with them!!! And we didn't fair so well either.
