Last year I tried to transcript the State of the Union speech ... but my cable provider deleted the speech before I was finished ... I never thought of just hopping onto YouTube and posting a "trusted source" for the actual speech.
This year, this is what I am doing .... just posting the link (which blogger tends to embed, it's not me, honest) so you can see ever phoible, slip, stammer, error, accuracy, 3-pointer, etc ... sometimes people must think I make up all the "um"s and "er's I put into the transcripts - I would even try to put in mispronounciations if they were made ...
This way you can hear them for yourself.
Now the one thing they likely will NOT tell you is that the President arrived LATEL to the House, not just the chambers, but the entire building.
He was supposed to start at 9pm ET/8pm CT/7pm MT/6pm PT ... oh look, I figured it all out ...
The First Lady, Jill Biden (not calling her "dr" when her PhD is in Education), herself didn't get to her box until 9:10pm ...
This is the first time I have seen the Cabinet get announced into the House ... I'm thinking because it usually goes on before the networks have a chance to begin their broadcasts ... but this time (on FNC) I got to see them enter. Interesting.
The special cabinet member who is kept safe in case there's some catastrophy, is the Secretary of Education - don't know the name, but I'm going to guess that the First Lady chose them
President Biden was 16 minutes late -- normally they have these things time to the minute, if not second, so this is really late!
The button which a number of people are wearing are about the Border Crisis .... Fox was saying it was Republicans wearing them, and I'm pretty sure for this type of speech there's actually 2 sides to the room - I saw pletty of buttons on both sides of the room.
He began his speech about 9:30pm ET ... that's beyond late .... that's what would happen IF there had been a national disaster earlier in the day -- not because he decided to spend 10 minutes taking SELFIES with other Democrats who were there.
More on what I thought of the speech on another post.
Here is the speech, as televisied by PBS, I have not seen it, so I do not know when it began broadcasting or if YouTube has "clipped" it down.
