one fell of and bumped his head ...
It's a daycare "fingerplay" song .... gone bad!!!
Did you hear about the city wide lock down in South Carolina???
43 MONKEYS ESCAPED from a RESEARCH LABORATORY (they are calling it a Medical Research Compound, right)
The monkeys are NOT supposed to be infected with anything ... but they migh be skiddish ...
so they told people to keep their doors and windows closed and LOCKED ...
Got dogs? Better hope you have a litterbox they can use! And, no, they have NOT caught the monkeys yet ...
at least not at 6:15pm East Coast time ....
But don't worry ...
They say there is practically no risk to the public ...
I'm also going to guess .... most of you haven't seen the 1970's movie where a lady is bit by a monkey, catches rabies from the monkey, and then goes around infecting even more people???
Yeah - okay, likely these monkeys don't have radies ...
BUT ... it is likely that they will NOT be staying in one area ... I'm not sure about how fast they can move - but I'm going to guess that the search area will soon cover the surrounding states of North Carolina and Georgia ...
They say, whoever they are, that the monkeys gott out when a new lab tech didn't make sure the cages were secured well enough.
Hey - this might be the beginnings of Planet of the Apes!!!
Actually, my worry would not be about them infecting humans, so much ... but rather OTHER ANIMALS ...
Often these animals are used to test several different items ... from new drugs .... to new therapies .... to how different conditions have an effect on them - such as addictive materials/liquids, or even enviromental conditions or lack there of ...
Let's hope they can get them back safely .... and they DON'T end up having to euthenizing any of them.
A sad, but likely end for many of these animals ....
Remember on Big Bang Theory, when they first showed Amy's apartment?
She had one of the Rhesis monkeys from her lab in her home - he smoked.
I want to say his name was "Julius" but I am likely wrong.
