HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHAT HAPPENED???

 So I love Old Time Radio showws - Fibber McGee & Molly .... Abbot and Costello .... Lone Ranger .... Fort Laramie .... X minus one (X-1) .... Dimention X .... to name a few.

But it's the last one I mentioned which caught my attention today.

The year was 1950, when a broadcast went out which at the time sounded possible .... and now makes me go - WTHeck????

"Mars is Heaven" .... it was a half-hour program which looks at how Americans (ALWAYS seemed to be Americans) travel to MARS ....

The unusual part of this episode is the give an exact year when it takes place ....

1987

So - in 1950, they had such faith in America's progress in the Space Program to think we would actually make it to Mars?  Or was i all written as a "weapon" of the Cold War, trying to fool Russia into thinking we were farther along than we were?

Or - and in my mind, much more likely - SOMETHING happened which changed the way America approached the Space program!!!

Makes you go HMMMM, doesn't it???

It does me
