Because you know it ain't free anymore ... But they find that some states are "free-er" than others (based on taxes and gov involvement in everyday life):
LEAST FREE STATES
New York
New jersey
California
Hawaii
Massachusettes
MOST FREE STATES
New Hampshire (tied)
South Dakota (tied)
(only two mentioned but will hunt up some more)

States Meme
Okay I saw this on my partners blog and thought it was a good idea, so I'm stealing it! LOL...okay here's the jest of it:
Green=where I live
Blue=where I've lived in the past
Red=states I've visited in my current lifetime
Grey=haven't been there....yet!
Alabama / Alaska / Arizona / Arkansas / California / Colorado / Connecticut / Delaware / Florida / Georgia / Hawaii / Idaho / Illinois / Indiana / Iowa / Kansas / Kentucky / Louisiana / Maine / Maryland / Massachusetts / Michigan / Minnesota / Mississippi / Missouri / Montana / Nebraska / Nevada / New Hampshire / New Jersey / New Mexico / New York / North Carolina / North Dakota / Ohio / Oklahoma / Oregon / Pennsylvania / Rhode Island / South Carolina / South Dakota / Tennessee / Texas / Utah / Vermont / Virginia / Washington / West Virginia / Wisconsin / Wyoming / Washington D.C /
Actually this is kind of inaccurate because we went from Mn to Conn. to NC and back home in high school and I know I visited a lot of the states in between but I just can't remember which ones they were. We also went to a lot of different places when I was in grade school because I parents were showing our poodles in obedience trials...the trip to Newbraska was just the first I went to so I remember it really well.
Hubby has a thing for light-houses so I got a throw quilt from Herrschner's online and it has 6 or 7 diferent lighthouses on it from around the country and I figured that the incentive to get hubby on some real vacations is to finish each lighthouse on the quilt as we visit them...so far I will be able to do Split Rock in Duluth, MN...although there are a couple of others we visited on the Great Lakes that don't appear on the quilt....I guess they are considered "minor" lighthouses.
