The Corel difference

Okay I know that 'Photo Shop' is the largest selling imagery program out there -- but I've really got to share the wonderment of Corel!

Whenever I get a new computer I make sure hubby gets me a liscense copy of Corel because I find it so much easier than PS and I like the results I get so much better.

Wanna see?

here are two examples (they look a like, but they are two different images).

We have a BLACK dog & GRASS GREEN carpeting (not our choice, it came with the house) and even though our digicam made it look like the shots were nice & bright, the download was something totally different.

BEFORE,

AFTER, I had the program split the color

BEFORE

AFTER, all I did was hit the 'lighten' button

If you can only make one knitting/crocheting/tatting trip a year this is it!
For those of you who have misplaced your yarn or are looking for some place in the mall to find some (since it isn't generally a stocked item)--try the "Dollar Tree" on the Third Floor``they usually have close out yarn that you can't find other places for only $1/skein!
But otherwise you could try the Alpaca shop but I do not recall seeing any yarn there--but I've never gone completely in.
For those on a food budget ($wise) there are many of your favorite fast food joints; and those on a food budget (calorie/health wise) there are several places in the food courts--yes that was plural--that offer healthier choices such as stir-fry, fish, etc. There is even a place called Arthur's (i think that's the name) that specializes in slow food--its a place to sit and relax, the food is pretty reasonably priced and the food is good but be prepared to spend a bit of time there.

Be sure to check out 'Underwater Adventures' on the lower level---they have an area where you actually go UNDER the fish. See the shark that was attacked, by another shark! Watch as divers swim with the fishes and feed them out of hand...even the sharks get a turn. Or take the dive yourself!

For more info visit the Mall Of America website for info of up coming events, available shops, restraunts, hotels/motels, directions, parking, etc.
Click on the 'Knit Out' banner to get details on the event/hotel offers/valuable coupons etc.

This Program could save your life!!

WeatherBug

Not everyone knows of this great program for your systems tray. You put in the local zipcode (US only) and it gives you the local weather plus any severe storm/weather warnings while you are online. The basic program is completely free and I highly recommend it for everyone.

If you haven't heard of it, check it out...if you have heard of it I would love to hear how often you find yourself using it.

I use mine everyday...and nights like tonight when we have two major storms converging you can bet we will be paying close attention to it!!!
