Election 2012: GOP debate SC
These are how TRITTER fans decided whether the candidates where answering questions during the debate - or whether they were dodging the answers ...
Ron Paul did really well - but then they say his followers are those who don't have real jobs yet and have nothing better to do than sit around plunking on the computers - basically democrats who don't want to alienate mommy &daddy because they hold the purse strings ...
Romney did horrid - he came acrossed as the typical politician ... Only once did he ever show any green of being truthful.
Now as usual, you know this app only throws photos at the bottom of the posts instead of burying them within it ... So I'll just posts the photos with as much info as I can get on the screen for y'all

I found of he number surprising and some not - mostly because I would expect Costco members to be more on the conservative side of the line ...
When I think of Costco I think of business owners/managers and preppers - no most aren't crazies, they just think differently then others ... They will leave their children a legacy of food and precious metals.
Things like looking up medical advice online shocked me - after all you don't really know the credentials of the person your getting it from... Just because they have an MD doesn't mean they weren't the last in their class (every class has them too)...
The biofuel question ... I guess I would have thought they would have been more big oil instead of putting their vote behind an industry where we really don't know the effects yet ... I mean we all know they say it's environmentally friendly and it would be cheaper but do we really know this? I mean look at the issues they are finding with the CFL bulbs, it wasn't until after they passed the regulations phasing out the regular incandescent that they found the mercury which makes the CFL work was dangerous to the environment!
Other things like the sanitizing of books or the mortgage interest deduction didn't surprise me at all ... As I would expect that most members would own a home and/or stand by the US Constitution ...

Now that is just if these two men were running ... and one of these men has joked about putting an electrified fence around the southern border.
rumor has it that the Dems are going to push for a different candidate, forcing Obama into being a one term president.

60% of those polled ... And it was a small number, only 1500 voters ... Or about 900 voters ... DISAPPROVE of how the President is handling the economy. This is broken into 40% STRONLY disapprove and 20% somewhat disapprove.
That's a pretty large percentage in an area which has always been looked at as a haven for liberals ... The home of Haight-Ashbury ... It is also a place where nearly half the population (47.8% but this does not include those who live there illegally) is Hispanic which is a strong democratic group ... Where 62% of the population is between the ages of 19 - 62 yrs ... Where 15.3% of the population is living beneath the poverty line ... Where approx 20% of the population doesn't have a high school diploma (about 2 million out of 10million) ...
Al those are factors which tend to "feed" the democratic party ... And come on let's face it - they elected Pelosi!
These are the people who are saying that President Obama has dropped e ball or at least taken his eye off of it ... To be clear - the ball is the economy as a whole (as opposed to jobs or stock market as specifics)

Economists saying economy stopped in mid-July (no growth/no fall)
{###}{###}{###}{###}{###}
I'm wondering how these new rates/numbers are split across the nation ... I mean is NY and CA skewing these numbers? Does there seem to be one or two particular events that caused it to rise so drastically (as hurricane Katrina did)?
Or is it the horrid economy of CA that seems to be effecting it ... Well ok, not all of CAbut certainly L.A. County which seems to skew the CA numbers - I know they take most of the benefit/entitlement money for the state even though they are one of the lowest earning regions of the state (and not just because so many people are getting federal monies)
The head of the Labor dept. says the worst is still ahead ... So at what point are they going to stop blaming Bush for this? A what point are they going to look at this situation and wonder how anything can get fixed if the president refuses to stay in DC to fix it?
I know that Obama is saying he would like to see some sort of national jobs program ... does this man have any original ideas? I can see this going one of two ways:
1. A CCC or WMP program where the government pays an inordinate number of people to do "make work" ... Hopefully necessary work ... Work that won't give priority to union workers - as so many government jobs do these days.
2. Assigned workers ... Where like the soviet union of old, they will tell people where the jobs are, how many are needed, and where they belong. That lack of freedom of choice,
I can also see a trend where if you are a stay-at-home mom ... A single income family .... You will be SCREWED over when it comes to benefits and old-age ... As the Tea-Party candidates go to the other extreme and pull everything away.
Oops ... I have strayed off point again haven't I?
I think that's the clue to stop now

PALIN? Really? The woman can't string three words together without looking like and idiot (Bachmann too, btw)
CAIN? The man has NO political background ... Yes he's a business man ... I don't know when he became CEO of Godfathers Pizza, but I'd love to see a truth/thorough look at their books. I have a feeling that they are part of the problem and not the solution ... They certainly are no where near the size they were in the 80s & 90s .... I'm sorry, I don't see it.
I still have to get up a transcript of the presidential debate, but he doesn't impress me at all. While I think his experience might make him as good congressman or czar - I don't think it makes him a good president.

Now according to the President (during his Bill O'Rielly interview Super Bowl sunday) the "vast majority" of Americans approved of the Health Care Law .... and it is a law now ... well, for now.
He was wrong, of course.
Rasmussen polls show that 58% want the Health Care law appealled, 63% amongst the Independants
Gallop Polls show that 56% of people don't approve of his health care policy, 68% amongst the independants
He also stated that they had 12 judges side with them, and 2 did not ... that's not true either.**see note at end of post**
**They had 2 cases make it to trial ... the others were thrown out on technicalities not merits ... this means the judges did NOT feel the law was 'constitutional' it just meant that an 'i' wasn't dotted, a 't' wasn't crossed, or someone didn't mind their 'p's & 'q's.
The real numbers right now are that two judges found that - only part of the law was unconstitutional so most of it could stand ... and two judges found that it was NOT Constitutional and the whole of it needed to be thrown out.
As a matter of fact - the case in FL is perhaps the best known of these cases ... the Apallet (sp?) court judge ruled that the single clause that FORCED people to purchase health insurance was unconstitutional - but because of the way the lawyers for the WH argued it, they said that it was intrical and the law could not stand without the clause - that by removing that single clause made the rest of the law fall apart, that is why he ruled against the whole of the law.
Had the lawyers argued that that single clause could be removed and it would be fine - then the rest of it would have been left alone.

This was supposed to show that the Dems are in trouble from the independents jumping over to the other side ... but I don't know ... independents tend to vote with their pocketbook, by their own experiences, and they swing a LOT until the day of the election

He also said that there has been 'positive job growth' ... uuuhhh - you've just about hit bottom, anything is a positive from here!
And remember too that these are just the last 4 presidents ...
but some other facts to take into consideration ...
During Bush Sr's term the congress was never with him ... they were always held by the Democrats ... Under Clinton, he had 6 years where the congress was with him and the last two were against his policies (look how low unemployment got); under Bush Jr, he had 6 yrs of the House on his side, 2 against him - the senate was 4 for & 4 against ...
Obama (at the time of the stats I found) was one year for his policies, actually now its been two years ...
Sometimes I think people are fooling theirselves if they think the President has that much to do with the economy or unemployment ... it seems more tied to the Congress to me.

New predictions .... from U of VA (Prof. Larry Sabato) .... of how the Dems will do during the midterm elections ....
- Dems lose 7 seats in Senate
- Dems lose 27 seats in House
- Dems lose 6 governorships
Fox kept saying GOP picked them up .... but I really think we will see more Independant candidates being sick of both main parties -- this is how we got Jesse Ventura for governor.
No one thought he would win - himself least of all - yet come night of the election he was voted in ... people tried to 'throw away' their vote or figured that they had the election wrapped up so they did go to the polls, and found that there were enough people ticked off at "business as usual" that we got him.
Now don't get me wrong -- Jesse started out ok ... he got in on a single platform - give me back my money - and he did that. But then - he didn't have a real plan for the rest of his time ... he had some good ideas - making NW pay back their loan to the state or build the Duluth hub they promised (jobs) ... forcing the State legislature to balance the budget before they went home .... removing the norm of officials to vote in & give themselves raises .... etc. But he had no plan as to how to bring these ideas about.
He did bring in and get signed the limited entitlements bill -- that which limited the amount of time that a person could stay on welfare in the state (there was no limit before, now it is 5 yrs in a lifetime) .... but that is about it really that I can recall off hand.
After that - he turned Democrat and got surly, some of it you couldn't blame him over, but other stuff he would fly off the handle without warning.
oops slipping away again. Focus -- Dems losing seats ...
Now their party is not being helped with yesterday's announcement that Sen. Bayh wasn't going to run again - it didn't sound like he was quitting out-right but he won't be coming back .... he is from a state that is a strong GOP state, so the chances of there being another Dem to take his place is pretty slim.
But he had some pretty harsh words which simply came out to say "look despite what you hear, BOTH parties are playing politics and NEITHER is really interested in bipartisanship" .... that the government is set up not to carry out the needs of the people but it is government for the sake of those in government - it is self-serving.
um .... DUH!!!
