I'm wondering how these new rates/numbers are split across the nation ... I mean is NY and CA skewing these numbers? Does there seem to be one or two particular events that caused it to rise so drastically (as hurricane Katrina did)?

Or is it the horrid economy of CA that seems to be effecting it ... Well ok, not all of CAbut certainly L.A. County which seems to skew the CA numbers - I know they take most of the benefit/entitlement money for the state even though they are one of the lowest earning regions of the state (and not just because so many people are getting federal monies)

The head of the Labor dept. says the worst is still ahead ... So at what point are they going to stop blaming Bush for this? A what point are they going to look at this situation and wonder how anything can get fixed if the president refuses to stay in DC to fix it?

I know that Obama is saying he would like to see some sort of national jobs program ... does this man have any original ideas? I can see this going one of two ways:
1. A CCC or WMP program where the government pays an inordinate number of people to do "make work" ... Hopefully necessary work ... Work that won't give priority to union workers - as so many government jobs do these days.
2. Assigned workers ... Where like the soviet union of old, they will tell people where the jobs are, how many are needed, and where they belong. That lack of freedom of choice,

I can also see a trend where if you are a stay-at-home mom ... A single income family .... You will be SCREWED over when it comes to benefits and old-age ... As the Tea-Party candidates go to the other extreme and pull everything away.

Oops ... I have strayed off point again haven't I?

Does anyone else remember when during the campaign Bush called for a meeting on how to save the economy and Senator/ Candidate McCain went and Senator/Candidate Obama refused to give up his campaigning?

Oh look --- he's doing it AGAIN only this time he's PRESIDENT!

Nice way to "lean across the aisle" there, dude, isn't that what you accused the Republicans of not doing?

It's the Economy, stupid ... Sorry couldn't resist the quote, just wish I could remember who said it.

The Republican leaders of the House and Senate each have invited President Obama to meetings to go over the budget and what they are really firm on and what they are more flexible on ... Basically they are asking the President to step in as a type of mediator between the two parties so that something can be done before there are serious irreparable damage to the economy and the US heads for another depression.

Obama has said NO ... Twice

Of course while he's out doing his campaigning he is saying that it is the Republicans fault that things aren't being fixed or even worked on because they won't "cross party lines" or "shake hands across the aisle" as he said during his campaign ...

But the truth is ... HE IS THE ONE NOT DOING IT!!!

no wonder his approval rating is the lowest it's been since the killing of Bin Laden ...

Okay first I can not believe that there are historians who Are sticking up for her ... WHAT? and my kids are being taught by these people?

Second - Revere didn't warn the BRITISH he was working against them

Third - there were no BELLS, but there was a bell tower where the signaler sat and waited

Fourth - Revere didn't finish his ride, in fact he only got a little ways into it ... It was finished by some doctor, I believe (I'm sure someone can tell me his name)

Finally - must because you got the answer wrong and they are tLking about it - doesn't make it a GOTCHA QUESTION ... Why can't you just say "it was a busy day and I screwed up the answer" ... Or even better DON'T ANSWER QUESTIONS.

Look - I picked on Obama when he said we had 57 states and then corrected it in a different statement to 52 ... Even gave the benefit that maybe he was counting the two main territories ...

But the one thing he DIDN'T do was blame the questioner every time he put his foot in his mouth.

Oh and what was that question she was asked?

How may I ask is that a "gotcha"? She had so many options to an open ended question like that.

They were impressed by Cain, and it didn't bother them that he had no political experience, in fact for many it was a PLUS!

One of the biggest issues people had with Obama before he ran was his LACK OF EXPERIENCE BEFORE HE RAN ...

For one thing, when you are running a business people aren't likely to tell you NO ... Generally you get to tell the board what you want done, you get to take vacations when you want ... And if you make an error with predicting what your competition is going to do, it will rarely lead to. Having a nuclear bomb shoved up your derrière!

• Juan Williams liked how he answered in a very PC way about Newt Gingrich (who wasn't there) when he said "we all make mistakes"
• John Fund felt he handled himself well
• Joe Trippi felt he missed an opportunity to point out his outsidership from the DC political machine

Tim Palenty:

• Juan Williams thought he stood above the crowd and "looked the adult on the stage"
• John Fund thought he had really good answers, he fessed up on making a mistake on Climate Change ... Felt he would do very well in the Midwest were they want a conservative republican without the sharp edges.
• Joe Trippi felt that Pawlenty dropped the ball by not bringing up the fact that he is a washington-outsider, and that he could get to be one of the people who Obama would hate running against but he didn't do that in this debate

 

Gary Johnson:

• Juan Williams felt he exceeded expectations
• John Fund felt he held down his libertarian base, but didn't expand it much

Ron Paul:

• John Fund felt he held down his libertarian base, but didn't expand it much

Herman Cain:

• Juan Williams said he was surprised to hear news that the public felt he won the debate
• John Fund felt that he was the new "home town favorite"
• Joe Trippi felt he won hands down because he felt he was the only one who wasn't a political insider

Joe Trippi is a Democratic Stratigist ... Who apparently shows up on FNC quite a bit, but it's the first time I've seen him.

BREAKING NEWS: Presidential Birth Certificate Released

Ok - thanks to Drudge Report I was able to extract a copy of the Presidents BC (Barack Hussein Obama II - not Jr.) from their pdf .... I'm hoping not to get into trouble here ...

I have taken some zoom shots to share ... a few lay still questions of the document, others raise more questions than they settle.

I ran acrossed one story that is still trying to prove that the document is fake ... based on some markings on the document itself.

There are smears, marks, and (most curiosly) numbers written on the document ... light enough to where until someone points them out, you might tend to look over them ... most promonently is the number "1" in several spots ...

As you can see there is a number '1' next to #2 and above the boxes in #3 there are two more x's ... leading some to wonder if perhaps there were two more children born who may not have made it. 
Now its not that I believe that, but it just raises the question ...

Doing a bit of research of my own online ... the name of the hospital kind of struct me as strange ... I did not realize that in 1961 there were specialized hospitals for OB/GYN ... of course this raised more questions than answers ...

according to the hospital's own website, the hospital's name was "Kapi‘olani Maternity Home" until 1978 when it merged with the children's hospital there, and then it was called "Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children" ... notice that the form not only has the name of the hospital wrong, but it is missing the apostrophe which I can't see happening in Hawaii since that is the way many of the names/words are there ... it would be like dropping a hyphenation in an English or Spanish name, or a 'von' or 'de' in European names, or the "~" above the 'n' and the "`" above the 'e' in hispanic/latino names ... drop those things you change the stress and meaning of the name.
Of course it could be that there is another, or was another, hospital with a simular name that just didn't pop up on my search - perhaps it is no longer operating - and if it wasn't operating before the electronic age, I'm not sure it would even be searchable anyways.

What did catch my eye was the "occupation" parts of the form ... according to the BC, neither his father nor his mother WORKED during her pregnancy ... so how were things paid for?

 I know that Obama made a big deal out of the fact that his mother worked so hard while he was growing up ... and that his father was a missionary ... but according to this - neither worked at this time.  Where did their food come from? who paid for the hospital? how did they support themselves? Of course it could be that they were being supported by their family since Obama has often said his grandmother lived in Hawaii (I think) ...


Now there are a few things that would be very tough to 'fake' such as

The would have to be really good to place a fake copy within an already established group of serial numbers ... not that it couldn't be done, I suppose they could have simply substituted his real number on a fake BC, but it is very unlikely.  Even the FBI & CIAs deepest operatives cover stories will fall apart if one looks too close at the "paper trail" instead of just the electronic records (at least according to the shows I've seen) ...

Doctor Signature

I'm sorry - but this is the signature of the doctor ... although, yes it seems easier to read than most doctor's handwriting ... I would think that if there was a question about it, someone would raise it and have examplars to show it wasn't his signature.
"Birthers" might claim that the doctor passed 8 yrs ago and how convienient it is that he isn't around to raise concerns ... but according to his obituary the family asked that donations in their father's name be given to an Alzeheimer's charity ... this usually means that the person who passed suffered from the disease or worked in that field - Dr. Sinclair was a pediatrician by trade ... I believe that this means he suffered from the condition himself - so he may not have been able to speak of the birth one way or the other.

Mother's signature

This is Barack's mother's signature ... if you compare how you write your name NOW to how you did it just TEN years ago, you will find that it has changed a bit ... your life conditions are a big factor on how your write ... most people don't even realize that their signatures change over time - especially women who take their husband's last name.

Birthers also are pointing out the difference of dates on the form ... that is that he was born on August 4th, but that his mother didn't sign until August 7th and the doctor not until August 8th ... I've had 4 children - this is not unusual.  My mother had two children around this same time, and she often told me that it was not unsual for mother's to be kept in a hospital for an entire week after having a baby and that after the third day they would get permission to dangle their feet over the edge of the bed. 

So it does not surprise me that they would have waited three days before they approached Mrs. Obama to sign the forms and that her doctor wouldn't have signed it until the next day ... my guess would be that during this time he would have been doing a lot of island calls (at the time I believe there was just the one maternity hospital for the entire state) and truthfully was probably only a handful of doctors who worked this particular field instead of just being a General Practicioner.

There are a few things that DO concern me about the form though:

1. there really isn't a signature from the Registrar ... its the word 'ukelei' instead of a person's name.

2. there appears to be another form in the margin of the book which is not shown. what were those entries about?
3. the 'safety' background of the form is continuous on both sides of the form ... there is no distortion at the edges of the form or along the bend of the BC where it looks like it has been folded ... now this could be because the safety background could be part of the paper it was printed on and not the original BC ... but this would also mean that the image of the BC had a "transparent" background, something not available in 1961 ... so it shows that there has been some manipulation of the original document, even if people see it as a minor thing.

well - that's it ... I will have to look at the document some more ... but I think that just about covers it ...

BREAKING NEWS: Presidential Birth Certificate RESPONSE

The President has come out to make his statement pertaining to his B/C ... he calls it providing 'extra information' instead of saying they released his birth certificate ...

in fact he was very careful to shy away from the words ... the phrase ... he even measured his words to be sure he didn't actually call what he released was his actual "birth certificate" ...

Personally I would think the WH would love the distraction of Trump's accusations because people, rather the media, didn't seem to be paying much attention to his action/reaction to the economy ... or rather lack there of ...

unless they are counting on this to stir the pot up some more!  oh that could be ...

its just a really strange time to do this ... right now the media is so focused on the Royal Wedding that he could have had another whole week of media peace - had he waited until Monday, he might get a bigger media spot ...

unless that is what they were worried about ... too much scrutiny ...

interesting that this only came out after Trump announced that he had private investigators looking into things ... hmmm, wonder what they found that they are trying to get the public to dismiss out of hand.

BREAKING NEWS: Presidential Birth Certificate Released

Well, well .... Donald Trump has gotten some action ...

The President has finally decided to release his "Birth Certificate" ... the actual one, not the "Certificate of Live Birth" that has caused so much controversy ...

of course you have to wonder why he couldn't produce this thing during his first run -- but then it takes a while to produce a .... well lets not go there.

I know he says that its because he wants to put it behind and move on to more important matters like the ECONOMY, GAS PRICES, TERRORISM, and other issues ....

Funny - he didn't think it was so important during his first campaign ...

but I have a feeling that was because there were questions about John McCain's qualifications for President as well ...

McCain was born on an Army base (or some such) while his father worked on the Panama Canal ... or one of them down there ... so really when you think of it ...

THE LAST ELECTION WAS ILLEGAL

Because technically NEITHER candidate were truly qualified ...

so what is the issue with the Hawaiian certificate?

because the PRACTICE AT THE TIME in Hawaii was that if one of the parents was a Hawaiian citizen, their off-spring were still given the status of a Hawaiian birth even if it took place on a non-Hawaiian location because there are so many small uncharted/unclaimed islands in the area ...

and I can really see a parent forcing the fact to get their child registered as an American citizen to get all the rights & privileges that go along with it ... and yes, I do have to call in question the validity of the declaration of him being born in Honolulu, the state capital, at the time it says ...

because they reported that his grandmother, great-aunt, someone like that - recalls him being born in Africa at the time ...

And for those of you who think "yeah like they were planning from before he was born that he would grow into the President" ... you really must pay attention to life a little more ... if you don't think that the Kennedy's or the Bush's were 'bred' to their positions of power, you better think again ... you need to read "The Omen" series to get a good idea of what some groups will go thru to make sure their plans get carried out ...

Now do I buy into the theory that Obama's parents set this all up from the beginning? or that Obama is the Anti-Christ?  Oh hell no ... that's just silliness in my mind ... I'm just saying that it isn't impossible ... and there are anecdotes which show it can happen.

I do think that one of the motivations was to get some sort of entitlements for him ... I know he has said that his mother worked several jobs to support him, but I haven't heard whether she had gotten any sort of financial support from state/federal programs - so I can't speak to that ... but I could understand where she would want to make sure that he had the rights of a US citizen.

I really DON'T want this man to be President or even the Republican Candidate ... I find him nearly as scary as Obama ...

I don't condemn him too much for switching parties over the years - most people waiver as they grow up and get a new perspective of life ... but the thing that scares me is the fact that he had REGISTERED under so many different parties.  First time, of course ... second time, maybe ... but by the third time you find yourself changing sides - it would dawn on you to register yourself as either "unaffiliated" or "independent".

I have a problem with how he runs his mouth!

that incident alone should make people shy away from this guy .... Not saying he was wrong to stick up for himself there - she was getting nasty, he was getting nasty - it made for great GOSSIP TELEVISION ...

now replace Rosie with say .... Qaddafi or Amman or whoever it is in charge of Russia right now (see this is why I'm not running - I can't keep up with all the regime changes) ... but can you imagine what would happen???

Oh yes it has come around to this already ... although, I have to say it is starting later than the last presidential election - which started before Obama even took oath for the Senate seat!  This man had just won his election and they started talking about him running for president ... actually if you look you will find that they (the political machine in Chicago) were talking about him running before he ran for his first congressional election because they wanted someone who was easy to manipulate by the Party. (oh look, they were right)

 I liked Pawlenty as governor ... but he is not presidential material - vp maybe, but not the big seat off the bat.  Its not that he isn't good, I just think that he is too young yet.  He needs a little more experience.

 

Bachmann ... she is best as a congresswoman, leave her there - she tends to speak her mind in such a way as to have to come back later to 'fix' it ... that could be disasterous as a president.

Paul - hello ... might as well put Periot in office ... he isn't that much different.

My dad likes Gingrich ... all I can think of when I think of him is the broken promises of the Contract With America ... he can't win.

Palin ... geesh, do you want to give the election to Obama??? 

Lets face facts - if you took away the votes for 'historical' purposes (those who voted for Obama just because they wanted to be a part of history) then McCain would have had an easier time running had he simply chose someone else ... like Libby Dole ...

 

Libby Dole is not on this list ... but she would be my choice for the Republican female candidate. (ok, I've had to rewrite this several times because it started coming off as campaigning for her) ... too bad too ... I would love to see Libby & Hillary debate each other.
