Well I will be away from my computer for quite a while....we just got back from Sam's club and got both the book and the cd set for "Deathly Hallows"....the cd's are actually for the kids to listen to as they read--that is how I got my 4th grader at an 8th grade reading level!
I love books on cd at the higher reading levels but they have so few that are actually kid appropriate though. Most of the books on cd that I find are either to racy/sexual or too violent or have so many swear words that I would be embarrassed to read them.
Of course, my SIL thinks I'm the biggest prude because I won't allow rated "R" movies to be watched, nor most PG-13 movies, while my little ones are in the room. Of course, there are a few that I will let them watch which aren't too bad....but most of them are pretty much off the list.
I even have some Rs that I've labelled NC-17 or "Check with mom first" so that my oldest wouldn't watch them...now that he's 18 though I know he is watching them while we are out of town to see what the fuss was all about.
Anyhow...I will probably be away from the blog for a bit while I tear thru the book.
