Damn, damn, damn!!

So I was so proud of myself during last nights baseball game when I finally got the cuff done for my partner's socks. Yea!! The first inch is done on size 0s and then I did 5 extra rows of cuff on size 1s, which would transition nicely into the pattern which is supposed to be worked in size 1s. I love this pattern and I think it will be great with the yarn I've chosen.

It didn't seem to stretch too far after the last size 1 ribbing row, to just over 4 1/2" dia....

So I thought I had better double check her measurements today just to be sure.

Oops....I should have realized that it wasn't going to be able to make the turn of the foot. She is 12 1/2" from the ball of the heel over&around her instep, so it has to stretch to at least that far and still snap back into form.

So now its frogging season in MN....and I'm starting all over again with those damn cuffs.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE cuffs???
