C'mon....look at the charges and the facts...not worry about how it is going to look in the press! This guy is 17 not 13, this guy has an arrest for battery before....he should not be getting a break because of recent events.

You want to know how bad this is getting these days? And I'm serious on this....in Mpls. they will send African-American cops to an area if they hear that there is an African American involved as either the victim or the perp.

I'm sorry??!! If there's a problem--send the nearest fricking cop! I don't care if they are white, black, purple, green, orange, or magenta--just get his or her ass there within 3 minutes!!

Crash happened outside my dad's house, called 911 (the guy flipped his car with no other cars on the road)...they had a cop on the way (everyone in the family has a police scanner)...damn if someone didn't call in and say that the driver was Somali--they told the responding cop to disregard and sent another unit instead....he was already on another call. Total response time from our phone call till the cop could show up? 25minutes!!!!

25 minutes!!! That's ridiculous.... and so is this ruling. Take the fricking race out of the issue--if he were from Jupiter, had this record, commited this act, what would you do???
