This is a reprint of the articles ran the day after the Armistice Day storm in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Rather interesting read....like the people who used the ambulances to get from one side of town to the other. I know I saw a movie once that used a simular rous by a couple of ladies who didn't have fare for the street car so one of them pretended to be ill so the ambulance would pick her up....but I never thought it was real!
Hey in here are stories from women! Very interesting.
I think I need to discuss this with my father and see what stories he has to share too. Maybe record them on the 'sly'...he hates being interviewed, but he is a great story teller!
He was 14 when it hit, before he even knew my mother. He lived in Mpls at the time....before it became over populated...so he could have some interesting stories.
