What good is a computer without a DVD-rom or CD-rom driver????
Yeah its thin....yeah its light....but its the world's biggest f=ing PDA!!!
Or a giant iPod!
After all about the only thing it will do is all the stuff that people have asked them to make the iPod do...like read pdf files....grab email....play streaming radio....etc.
But its $1800 for a standard HD (80GB)....and almost $2000 for a solid state(64GB) HD.
But no CDW-Rom!!!! So what is the point?
If you are getting a laptop for college or any work really....it is nice to be able to save a back up of your notes from class or a meeting onto a CD should anything happen on the way to your next place.
having the cd-r makes it easier to work on papers/presentations between classes and know your data will be safe.
Nearly all programs you buy these days come on CD so how the Hell are you supposed to put stuff on your computer???
This thing is a bust. I can see people running out and buying it just to have the newest gadget from Apple---but it sounds like the Edsel of computers to me!!
