"'As a Catholic tax-exempt university, St. Mary's does not endorse political candidates or their positions on issues and acknowledges the fundamental differences between those of the presidential candidates at the Catholic Church,' President Charles Cotrell said in a statement.
Archbishop Gomez said he was 'neither advised nor consulted' before the university opened its doors to the Clinton campaign"
I thought that the Pope had settled this question last year or two years ago with the commencement speakers they didn't agree with....the church made it very clear that there can not be speakers on Catholic property who support positions contrary to the Catholic belief...the greatest of these being abortion.
So the question becomes--what is the Catholic church going to do about it? How are they going to 'punish' the university?
