Paranoid Much??

Political Radar: Obama Takes Issue With Bush Foreign Policy Speech:
"The Obama campaign is taking issue with a comment President Bush made while speaking to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's statehood.
'Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,' the President said to the country's legislative body, 'We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is –- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.'"
Okay trivia time .... so which Senator was Bush talking about?
That aside ... how did the Obama camp handle it? They took it personally:
"It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 6Oth anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack. "
When, Mr. Obama, was the finger ever pointed at you?

Apparently Mr. Obama feels that he is the only senator who ever made the statement that he did during the debates (opening dialogs with Castro & Amadijiderad).

Sorry Mr. Ego-centric --- you are NOT. There has been call from congress'men' for several decades to open trade with Cuba again ... and there are always those Pollyannas out there that think you can negotiate with the mad bulls of the world.

The only person I see turning this into a political attack, sir, is YOU.

Obama's statement went on to say:
"It is time to turn the page on eight years of policies that have strengthened Iran and failed to secure America or our ally Israel."
How exactly did Bush single-handedly strengthen Iran? No, deary, that was the UN that did that...and put thru the US under the bus. The UN drug its feet for 2 years as the US went back over and over proofing their case giving nations involved a chance to cover their asses (like Syria, France, and Russia [hey aren't those the ones who opposed it too? hmmm]... oh yes and Iran!). Stop blaming the wrong man for this one.

Oh and to answer the trivia question:
Which senator made this statement about Hitler in 1939?

Senator William Borah ... Republican senator from Idaho. Yes he was a republican and an isolationist. The statement was made after Hitler invaded Poland ... he died 4 months later from a cerebral hemorrhage.
