Caterers find eco-standards tough to chew - The Denver Post:

"Fried foods are forbidden at the committee's 22 or so events, as is liquid served in individual plastic containers. Plates must be reusable, like china, recyclable or compostable. The food should be local, organic or both.
And caterers must provide foods in 'at least three of the following five colors:
red, green, yellow, blue/purple, and white,' garnishes not included, according to a Request for Proposals, or RFP, distributed last week.
The shrimp-and-mango ensemble? All it's got is white, brown and orange, so it may not have the nutritional balance that generally comes from a multihued menu."

Hey the democrats have taken away your right to smoke, even outdoors. They want to take your right to smoke in your own car (with or without children), they want to take away your right as a parent to punish your child, and now, yes, they want to reach into your very own refridgerator.

They have already felt this in Washington DC where Pelosi jumped onto the bandwagon and forced the cafeteria's in the nation's capital ... sending workers running to find fresh product which didn't last as long as some of the fair.

So thousands of American dollars are being pitched EVERY DAY as the produce goes bad, rotting on the cafeteria shelves.

While I can see them asking for more healthy alternatives -- I strongly object to having it forced upon people.

You just wait -- it won't be long before companies will be forced to start each work day with callisthetics, be forced to remove the pop & candy machines, and penalize workers who do not meet some national health standard.

The children of the hippies are coming to power and now we can see the results of that 'social experiment' ... it turned out POWER HUNGRY CHILDREN.
in the 60's & 70's these people seperated themselves from society to live the way they wanted - and for the most part they were left alone, just looked at being strange ... at least until Charles Manson and his crowd changed the way people looked at communes in general ... but the children who were raised there, they have now grown and have gone into politics with the intention of telling EVERYONE how to live.

There will be no choice this time --- if the democrats get in with no veto power against them --- we can kiss our personal freedoms goodbye.

Enjoy a morning cup of coffee? Nope caffine is bad for you.
Thinking Decaf?? Nope its been linked to cancer.
Milk? Nope too much milk fat.
Juice? Nope ... pesticides.
Water? That should be safe right? Nope - people are using too much water ... its enviromentally damaging for us to drink the water.
You can expect forced vegetarianism too. After all, we won't be able to eat beef because it might make you grumpy; no pork, too fatty; no chicken - bird flu; fish? nope, damaging to the oceans.

Yep ... you can expect life in America to change.

And not for the better.
