"The authorities have already removed one million of the city's 3.3 million cars from the roads and shut down more than 100 polluting factories and building sites in an attempt to clear the smog."So what will happen in a few weeks after the Olympics go?
Business as usual. The factories will open, the cars will be back, and the pollution will be effecting the world around us.
Meanwhile, we tighten emission standards such that people have to have small families because they don't make engines with enough power to move a car bigger than a bread box any longer.
see -- its not all the US's fault
