Obama, Clinton camps working on hotel roll-call vote - The Denver Post:

"Supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton are furiously circulating petitions on the floor of the Democratic National Convention tonight, hoping to stave off a plan to hold the convention's roll call at breakfast Wednesday —out of the public eye — sources inside the delegations say.

The move being worked out between the Obama campaign and officials behind Clinton's suspended bid, would work in two parts: Delegates would cast votes at their hotels Wednesday morning; that night, at the Pepsi Center convention site, the roll-call process would rely on the cast votes that morning, the delegates said."

What the hell is this? No, no, no.

If you want people to watch the telecasts you have offer them something other than 'yada, yada, yada' .... they want sex and the possibility of a little bit of a cat-fight.

what they really don't want is another head scratcher and hint of a voting scandal.

UNLESS the vote is actually taken ON the floor, IN FRONT of the live cameras, and BROADCASTED to the entire world --- there will be enough Clinton supporters who will cry FOUL to jump ship and NOT vote for Obama.

Without the open vote to prove once and for all to the whole nation that yes Obama really did get more REGULAR delegate votes - not the superdelegates who are little better than 'vote-for-sale-politicians' - but that there were enough state delegates to push him over the edge ....

you will have a REPEAT of the DADE COUNTY incident in FLORIDA.

You will have years of "cheating" aligations .... years of cable news programs examining the vote and how it just didn't add up .... years of "he ain't my president" like Bush has suffered .... years of 'cheat, cheat, cheat'

If they take the open vote off the floor they WILL TEAR THE PARTY APART!!!

Oh wait --- that might not be such a bad thing --- as it stood before Obama there were two camps, the Kennedy-dems and the Clinton-dems ... now they have a third faction, the Obama-dems.

the philosophy of the Kennedy-dems seems to be 'everyone must pay for my father's sins' .... the Clinton-dems seems to be 'poke your finger in the air, go with the latest poll' .... the Obama-dems seems to be 'because he says so'.

hmmm .... sorry, I don't like that. I dont like any campaign where the slogan could be:

Obama, Obama, he's our man
If he can't do it -- Biden can

Biden is very qualified .... he would be a better prez than Obama ... but then we shouldn't have to rely of the VP to cover the Head-Honcho's ass -- wasn't that one of the big complaints with Cheney? that he seemed to take too many duties associated with the President/seemed to be 'president cheney'?

Just what we need - 4 more years of that!

The Obama-Biden ticket really WILL be the third Bush term -- there will be no pulling out of troops, just relocating -- to YOUR front door .... there will be middle-class-tax-cuts, but first they will redefine 'middle class' to be a exceptionally small number of people, and they will redefine 'lower income' to cover more people (or maybe they will just make more people fit into those areas) .... the economy? they will make sure that everyone has the exact same thing, how dare you have more than anyone else (never mind all the hard work you put into getting it) .... families? expect to be 'punished' for having more than 2 kids people - expect to be 'punished' for daring to get married ....

Oh wait ....

Yeah, I guess Obama is for 'Change'.

but then so were Lenin, Marx, Chairman Mao, Che, Khomeini ... well you get the idea.
