"MSNBC is removing Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as the anchors of live political events, bowing to growing criticism that they are too opinionated to be seen as neutral in the heat of the presidential campaign."You know Olbermann, its pretty bad when MSNBC is saying you are too political -- that would be like Wellstone having said you were too liberal.
Actually its too bad that Matthews wound up getting tangled in all this - it wasn't his fault that Olbermann is such a jerk on all matters Republican. In fact Olbermann seems to have some obsessive-compulsive disorder when it comes to anything about a member of the Republican party or any thing said by O'Reilly (maybe its the fact that Bill is constantly kicking Keith's ratings in the butt week after week). Whatever his reason, poor Chris is now paying the price for it.
I would love to have heard Chris Matthew's reaction when he heard he was being yanked -- granted the last time I saw him during the Republican Convention he looked like he had partied all night -- but to be pulled not because of anything you personally had done had to be shocking .... even a bit humiliating .... I just want to know what curse words he used to described ole buddy keith at that time.
I wonder if he called Olbermann up and cussed him out ....
I think another funny part is that Tom Brokaw made comments on how far these two went on the show (no I only saw one go too far on the show) .... now I will have to double check this on the podcasts but it seems like since Brokaw has taken over Meet the Press has had more Democrats on than Republicans -- at least the late Tim Russert tried to keep it fair, or at least gave a pretty good rendition there of.
Its just too bad that Olbermann gets to keep his show. Instead of calling the show "Countdown", which used to refer to counting down the biggest stories of the day, to "BushBash" which is what it has become.
