will we have a second civil war here?

Barack Obama as president, but the Senate, with former Democrat Joe Lieberman voting with Republicans, deadlocks at 50-50, so Vice President Dick Cheney steps in to break the tie to make Republican Sarah Palin his successor."

how it breaks down:
Yes it really could happen any number of ways.

There are LOTS of possibilities -- including us getting a President that we didn't even vote for:

" So try this scenario: The newly elected House, seated in January, is unable to muster a majority to choose a president after a 269-269 tie, but the Senate, which is expected to be controlled by Democrats, picks Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. from the Democratic ticket. If the House is still deadlocked at noon on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, Mr. Biden becomes acting president "

Yes that means that Biden could finally get his wish and be President - once in, he could push to keep himself there ... I don't think this has ever happened before ... remember that Biden is actually running for two positions this year, VP & Senator -- no, he's not greedy ... he's just hedging his bet (gives in-sight on how he feels about the chances of the democratic ticket, doesn't it?)

Or a truly scary scenerio, Nancy Pelosi could actually be the first female President (she would be impossible to get out of there -- and how would they get the claw marks out of the door frames?)

You can bet that once she sat behind that desk the last thing she would do was concentrate on getting anyone else behind it -- I think we would see the first 'coup' in the US.
