Ooooh I finally got it to work
I have seen some really nice plaid patterns come from varigated yarn that is knitted, so I decided to give it a go with crocheting to see if I can get it going. Normally I can't do it ... normally it just ends up muddled and scattered.
But I finally did it -- I worked the third block (clustered stitch) of The Fisherman's Sampler Afghan from Lion Brand ... only using clusters of 5 instead of 3 ... and I finally got it to plaid .. well kind of ...
