Miss USA contest

okay - so I was watching the press conference about the photos/speech making of Miss CA ...

This post could have very well been called "Things that make you go Hmmmm....."

A few quotes:

Donald Trump: This is the 21st century [on why the photos are acceptable to the committee. also known as the 'boys will be boys' defense]
{so Mr. Trump, what you are basically saying then is that it is acceptable for teen aged girls, because she was only 16 at the time, to have partially clothed photos taken of them -- so why is there such a problem with the Miley Cyrus photo-shoot then?}

Keith, dir Miss CA pageant: you weren't there, but he would have made any Arab nation proud [on the meeting in the Miss Universe offices]
{what the hell is that supposed to mean?}

Miss CA: Do you remember what you did when you were 16? [to reporter asking about why she didn't tell the committee that the photos were out there even if she didn't think they would be released]

{and while I may not remember everything I did or didn't do when I was 16, I can guarantee you that there were NO nude photos taken of me! -unless they were illegally obtained, but that's a different matter-}

Okay - so ... didn't see Miss CA wiping her chin off or anything, but you have to wonder what went on that she was able to keep the crown .... she certainly didn't look like she had been crying or anything before hand.

And the whole "we weren't on the same page" type of thing with the Directors of the Miss CA pageant -- what was that? Are they saying that the contract that these gals sign - which according to Miss CA is 12 pages long (wow) is flexible? That doesn't sound like an LA lawyer at all -- hmmm. Loop hole? or money injection by Trump?

You have to wonder why he is letting these 'bad girls' keep their crowns.

Don't get me wrong -- if these photos were photo-shopped as Miss CA asserts (and I would think they had some experts taking a super close look at them) then she should not be penalized .... its not her fault some scumbag did it .... but the partials that she did know about -- those should be causing her some issues.
