He used to be a Senator ... worked for Ronald Reagan ...
So what exactly was he protesting here ... Obama getting a degree he didn't earn? (just because he's a lawyer doesn't mean he should get an honorary degree) ... the fact that they were told by a private university that they couldn't protest on its grounds? .... was it the abortion issue?

maybe it was just the fact that he didn't get the nomination for President...
FYI, he is no longer a member of the Republican party ... he went to the Constitutional party and now has settled on the Independance party ....
or maybe he just meant that he is like most of the nation and is truly 'independant' -- believes a little that the dems say and a little of what the repub say ... and trusts very little of it all.
