Sizing it up?

Tonight is the premier of the Fox tv show "More To Love" -- thank you Fox!!! -- which takes plus sized women and blow away the stereotypes .... I hope.

Based on "The Bachelor" a former NFL Player football player gets his choice amongst some more realistically larger women. They advert it as an average size of 16 amongst these women ... the average amongst the public I think is a size 14 right now, and on most tv contestant shows its a size 5 and in most pagents it down to like a size 1.

When they claim that nearly 1/2 the nation falls into the new 'obese' catagory (yes they changed the charts yet again to prove there's an 'epidemic' ) it is about time that someone decided not to feed the illusion that only skinny people belong together.

My only issue is .... it was revealed this morning on Fox News ("America's Newsroom" program) that the football player in question is himself nearly 300 lbs.

I don't have an issue with larger men .... I kind of like them ... Arnold is a larger man :-) and I'm very happy to look at him ... BUT .... it kind of feeds the stereotype that "like should be with like", "birds of a feather" and all that ....

I would love to see a good looking smarthy guy (6'2" - 6'5", 180 - 215 lbs or so) on one of these shows .... you know what I mean? or a very skinny gal (size 8, although many people would consider her 'fat') have to chose from a larger group of guys.

See this is what I like about 'Beauty & the Geek' .... it puts too totally diverse group of people with each other and each learns a bit about the other -- they even found a nerdy chick & smarthy guy for one season (because apparently there is just one nerdy chick in the nation) .... in fact in one there was a real relationship that formed between a nerd&beauty - I've got to love that.

Actually, it will be interesting to see what becomes of this show ... I'm hoping it doesn't become just a new way to poke fun at 'fat people' but with a plus-sized famous model hosting the program, I'm thinking it will be respectful ... although some moments like those on 'Farmer takes a Wife' (great show, I would like to see a second season of this one too -- nice to see city gals reactions to real country life) ... I have to wonder if they will be putting Josie on this program.

She was a real card!!
