What's that sucking sound???

Oh its the Sotomayor hearings ...

Did anyone else feel that this thing took a totally different feeling than the Clarence Thomas, or Alito hearing? Did anyone ever remember a senator telling them, they would 'pass' if they didn't get tripped up? What the hell was that?

He basically said - You got the job.

And what the heck is Franken doing on that board? he has no political background ... he is low man on the totem pole! Each senator is ranked according to previous experience, it isn't just me, and the more experience the more likely they are to get on committees -- Franken has NO background...therefore being on this particular board is outrageous! I have to wonder if it wasn't 'payoff' for going along with the questionable counting in the state (I'm sorry but a mysterious finding of 1000 people during an election is questionable).

And what the heck was the point yesterday? an entire day of having the senators giving her a head's up of their standing .... wha--??

First, like any one else applying for a job she should have to have some competition, the people should have a choice of who they want - not just have one picked by the Pres. I've always felt that the President should have to put a 3 - 5 selection before the hearing, instead of just the one that will best push his agenda.
