Oh look - while Obama was off making a push for the Olympics which we had no chance of winning, reports came out saying that the unemployment rate ... and we are talking NEW filings ... jumped to 9.8 - the highest EVER since WW2 ... it has been estimated that it was as high a 23% during the Great Depression but there were no real records kept back then.
In 2008, the unemployment rate was at 4.4% ... but you will never hear that in any reports.
So we had to spend how much more in stimulus money to get the economy 'back on track' to get 'shovel ready' projects to get people back to work .... for WHAT????
So that more people can lose their jobs & homes while the President and the Vice President run off to other countries instead of dealing with the issues here???
My Gods -- does everyone in Washington DC have "Nero" complexes? If they just speak loud enough or long enough things will work themselves out?
Or perhaps they have a "Midas" complex - throw enough money at it and everything will turn to gold. Gold plated crap is still crap.
