Okay a few things ..." Gov. David Paterson said New York state is providing a $6.76 million package of grants and tax incentives to Bannon, and U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer said he is trying to help Bannon [the car company from India] obtain $52 million in federal loans and loan guarantees.
Bannon will invest $26.5 million into the plant. "
1) India can't get their railroad system in order ... why would we expect any sort of decent car from them?
2) Why is Federal Funds being used to build up a foreign car company when they just forced the closing of American car companies?
3) In the story it mentions that if the company fails ... the only funds which needs to be paid back is the money that New York put in ... the Federal Government (that's you & me) is screwed.
hmmm.....
I think something is rotten somewhere .... but it stinks so bad its hard to tell exactly where its coming from.
