Election 2012: GOP

Gingrich had a good night at his latest rally from the sounds of it ... Of course how Oklahomans didn't get slightly offended by this surprises me:

" ... The president has said 'you know, you ought to buy smaller cars' now let me start with a simple premise that most Oklahomans will understand - You can not put a gun rack in a Volt" To this he got a big round of applause and laughing ...

Now I would think that after the initial chuckle they are all sitting around going
"Heeeeeeeyyyyyyy - he said we all have guns!"
but then ... My hubby would take it as a compliment so you never know ...

Now according to one commentator, the Volt is supposed to be able to pull a holiwetzer ... Of course he doesn't say how far ...

If these things could pull real weight, there would be a full-size conversion van or a pick-up truck or semi-trucks ... There isn't

Because electric engines can NOT handle the weight for a significant distance ... You can't go to your local lumber yard and pick up material to put up a fence, or build a swing set, or even take that trip up to the cabin way up north...

As a matter of fact, for most people who have cabins or use a pick-up for hauling things beyond groceries - they will find they will have to charge up in the middle of their trip ...

And if they have a hybrid - the kind that automatically switches from electric to gas when needed - they will find the gas mileage is terrible compared to what is on the road now ....

Because the engines are designed to work so much on gas ...

I digress ....

Gingrich has been falling in the polls as Santorum's star has ascended ...

But now that Santorum has been managing to shove his foot farther down his throat --- this man really needs to have his speech writers look for the sounds bites the MEDIA is going to hunt for, not the ones they hope they will pick up on -- Gingrich should be able to step up a bit ...

If he can keep Ron Paul from squeezing in there ...

There are RUMORS that there is a movement and a search for a Dark-Horse candidate that will actually get the nomination at the convention instead of any of those still vying for the position ...

Those who wanted Christie - you might still get your wish ...

Just DON'T let it be Bachmann or Palin ...
