Just as a side note I heard this quoted on tv this week as well:
$10 for regular in Britain
$12 for premium
MOST of this is TAXES!
Now they did not say whether that was gallon or liters -- they are on the metric system over there, a liter is slightly over a quart (your 2 liter bottle of pop is just over 2 quarts) ...
If this is the case and it is by the liter as I suspect it is, then the price per gallon would be $40/regular & $48/premium
Let's remember that while running for office Obama said he wanted America to have gas pricing like they do in Europe ... well, we're getting there pretty quickly
