Cairo Situation

the killings and attack of our embassy in Libya came AFTER an attack on our embassy in Cairo about which not much was done.

there were two tweets from the Cairo embassy, one before, one after the attacks:

"We condemn the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims."

[don't have the actual tweet] saying they totally condemn the video making fun of muslims and then condemning the protests as well ... [i hope to get a copy of this tweet later, i will update if i get it]

the protestors went from chanting to scaling the walls, tearing down the American flag, cutting it up to take souvenirs, and then burning what was left of Old Glory and stomping on it.

there are 150 Americans that work in that embassy, and 90,000 Americans who live in the country.

Fires burned outside the high solid walls of the embassy ... yet video shows NO POLICE PRESENCE!

The marines which protect the embassies can not engage any of it until they get into the inner structure.

There is word now that the brother of one of the AlQuida higher ups was at the Cairo and whether they are involved ... of course Egypt is saying they have no such knowledge ... yet there were chants about it being in retaliation for Bin Laden's death.
