Hopefully you will be able to see the screenshot clearly
I think I understand the why - but that does NOT excuse the action.
Down in GALVESTONE , TX 2 mounted police officers arrest a man and handcuff him behind his back (by the looks of it in the photo on the right)
But if you look very CAREFULLY at the photo on he left you can barely see - but it's there - a ROPE going from the officer on the left to the back of the arrested man, it does NOT however look as if it's around his neck though .... but still
While the GALVESTONE PD admits the photo on s true, they have not released any statement as to WHY the man had a rope on him ... but I think I kno
On horseback officers have a lot of maneuverability that officers in cars or on cycles don't have BUT with the perp walking between them much of this mobility is lost - I, guessing the rope was to keep him from running away ... BUT why not either put him ON one of the horses (although there are some religions where it's against their rules/dogma) or even better ... CALL FOR A SQUAD TO PICK HIM UP!!!!!!!
The LAST THING Texas needs right now is anything that brings up images of White Supremists!! And this brings up images of KKK lynchings from the 19th & 20th centuries!!!
NOT GOOD!!!!
Let's THINK next time officers cars!
