NAPOLEAN LIVES!!!!

It too kind quite a while to figure a tittle for this post - but I'm pretty sure I've gotten it ... the question is though, who exactly is the Nepoliean here??

I never thought a story on wildfires in the Amazon would get so MEAN ... yup, mean

Now Brazil has been an independent country since at least WW2 ... I know at one point they were a colony of Portugal ... and they have a high number of Italian immigrant descendants there - in fact, the current President of Brazil is over 15/16 Italian decent (although it looks as though his parents were born in Brazil)

Brazil didn't get a non-military or dictator government until the 1980s during the Ronald Reagan years.  Otherwise they had coups galore!

Anyways - I digress - the French President has decided to stick his nose into the wildfires now and says that the G8 MUST treat Brazil as a "colony" and force them to protect the Amazon from these wildfires, basically BLAMING the Brazilian President for them.

Wait - WHAT???  Hang on it gets better

The Brazilian President replied that the French President couldn't even put out a fire at Norte Dame - one of the world's biggest & oldest churches, so he could just shut up!  Okay I changed the words but the meaning was the same.

So now we've got this INTERNATIONAL thing going on over ... FIRES?!?! 

France has NOT however offered any sort of HELP to Brazil, just finger pointing.  

Not that I think Brazil would accept it but it might be a nice gesture to at least OFFER it.
