Wait I love my kids very much, BUT only ONE of them can be said to be a "Front Line Worker" ... He works in a hospital ... This morning on "Fox News Sunday" Took a look at Biden's purposed $1.9 TRILLION policy run "combatting" the Virus ... He has already said that the first 10 (TEN) days of his administration will be an onslaught of Executive Orders! Remember, Congress WILL be in session at the time; except for Inauguration Day, its an end-run around Congress at the best, UNCONSTITUTIONAL at the worst! MY understanding is that EOs can only take place while Congress is out of session and unable to take up whatever item the EO was about ... I'm not a lawyer nor a politician, so likely I am WRONG THE REASON I BRING THIS UP though actually has to do with the interview ... Chris Wallace asked Brian Deese, Biden's Economic Advisor, why $15 minimum wages were attached to the Virus bill ... His answer? ":.. and the $15 minimum wage is a concrete and direct way to help support those workers who are out there, on the Front Lines right now, providing services to all of us and give them direct support in a direct boost right now ..." I'm sorry, but McDonald's employees don't NEED a $15/min wage-they need to GET A SIMPLE ORDER RIGHT! The person who makes the coffee doesn't NEED it either; nor does the Used Car Salesman ... NONE of these jobs - nor several others I haven't mentioned - are NOT Front Line Workers. WhIle they do interact with people, it is no where near the extremes of hospital workers, ambulance drivers, fire fighters/police/morticians/MEs/etc. Whatever happened to a minimum wage job being a STEPPING STONE to a better paying job? Oh yeah, Carter was President for 4 years, and Ford a few years before him. Some of the Non-Virus related items in the bill? $20B for PUBLIC TRANSIT $ 9B for CYBERSECURITY $15/hr for MINIMUM WAGE Only $400B of the bill will actually be used for Virus Relief ... That is Opening schools and getting VACCINES out to communities ... Yup, only about a QUARTER of the money actually falls under the actual "purpose" for the bill ... Geez!
