well, hopefully
I am about a week behind in my news shows, so forgive me ...
Iif you live in the state of NY, you better at least hope really hard that there aren't any during the winter ... Why? You migh ask ...
Because the state legislature has passed a law very similar NYC's law that won't allow ANY gas lines to be connected to new buildings in December 2023
On the State level however, NO gas RANGES, nor gas FURNACES can be installed in any NEW building - when it starts depends on the building size:
» 2026 = buildings LESS THAN 8 stories {basically from your cabin to your house to a smaller office building or apartment complex}
» 2029 = buildings OVER 7 stories
It doesn't apply to what you already have though ... It also doesn't apply to Back-Up Generators.
There are also exceptions for HOSPITALS, RESTAURANTS, and LAUNDRY MATS ...although the reporter said "industrial and commercial" buildings were exempt.
Its going to be interesting if history repeats itself ... and it ALWAYS does
