So, you nmay have heard about some protests going on around the country ... but did you realize that they are akin to those which occured in 1930's Germany?
Yeah - most of the ones which started off as "pro-innocents" in the Gaza region were quickly taken over or swayed into Anti-Semitism rallies ... just short of a hand being thrust into the air.
Students of Jewish faith were hiding in locked rooms, while protestors pounded loudly on the door calling for them to come out and face the crowds. The students were usually on the phone with 911 who said that it was NOT officers on the other side of the door, so they were to wait, btw.
We have seen the protests ... some as rude as ripping up of posters of people believed to be held captive by Hammas (a group which President Biden took OFF the terrorist list when he first got into office) to simple marches going down the street.
So how did the marches/protests get taken over/swayed into Anti-Semitism, you might ask?
6 little words
from the river to the sea
Those six simple little words was all it took ... like little droplets at the beginning of a large storm ... which has the potential to become a flash flood ... that was how this all began ...
It started as a group within the marches to chant the entire thing ... people heard it and figured it didn't sound so bad, not really .. so they repeated it while they marched.
It spread across the groups ... the Rabbi and those of Jewish faith who heard it, knew what it meant ... they knew - their people have been through this several times before ... from simply read the Old Testement (I suggest the Catholic version, it has several missing "books" from the Torah which the KJV, and the like, do not - its a more thorough understanding of the history actually) ... but they understood what it meant right away.
Saturday Night Live has already made a joke about the Congressional Hearings -- playing that the Congresswoman who asked the qestions about Ivy League schools' Anti-Descrimination Acts/Conduct Rules were violated, was only doing so for either "show" or she had "lost her mind" (I didn't see any humor in it at all, actually) ...
Here's my feeling ... if you replace the words spoke by any other race, religion, LGBT group, gender, etc. and it doesn't offend - then, hey, you're in the clear. If it offends, then its wrong.
The phrase - those 6 little words - is calling for the extermination of an entire country, a nation, which the UN decided had the right to exist after WW2 ... its a group of people with a very long history, but a very short time settled in a single area,..
But I'm confused by which nation was there first ... according to my reaserch ... Isreal was established in 1948, recognized/admitted into the UN in 1949 ... Palestine was established in 1988 , but not admitted into the UN didn't recognize/admit it until 2011 ...
that's a very long time!
Those 6 little words though are not simply talking about the Gaza strip ... they are speaking of the entire area - the entire nation.
We are talking about something nearly as bad as the Kippur Wars (I remember the Camp David talks under President Jimmy Carter - did you know he could actually run again if he wanted too, btw?)or as horrid, if not worse, as the Holocaust!
When people speak of the Holocaust they generally think only of the Jewish folks - because they had the more massive murdered that we know of - but many people don't realize that there were a LOT of different groups involved ... homosexuals, "gypsies"/nomads, blacks (to many diffent nationalities to count), middele eastern, mental disorders (anything from delays to mental health issues), medical conditions (such as epilepsy, Lou Gerrig disease, etc) ... they did NOT just exterminate jews.
And that is what those 6 litle words mean.
So it was only correct for Congress to ask the Presidents of the top Ivy League colleges of OUR nation about the protections offered to students who pay for the priviledge to go there (there is nothing in the Constitution about getting a higher education, btw) ... and the colleges??
FAILED
Miserably.
The closest they got was to say "it depends on circumstances" or "context" or "if its dirested directly at a person" ... um, NO
One university President as already stepped down - University of Pennsylvania (Liz McGill) - now it is time for the rest to look long and hard at what they are saying.
Granted, most of these are concidered a Public/Private type of inbred college -- they not only get paid by the students (who are the ones taking out loans) but they also recieve a LOT on money from the government, the federal government, and are therefore held at a higher standard.
I'm thinking - maybe they need to rethink how they want to run their schools ... if they don't want ANY federal oversight, or interference as they call it, then they may have to give up ALL the fereal funding they recieve as well.
OOOOOORRRRR
They can use their high-priced educated minds and PROECT ALL STUDENTS under the SAME conduct rules.
And this is what happens when you stop teaching history ... they kids get a smattering of history, a thin coat of national history, even thinner of world history ... so they learn from the internet and TikTok ...
Remember when we thought ;all this would make us smarer? Prepare our kids to enter into the Space Age?
I'm still waiting ... the pandemic really showed us how horrid our kids have been taught ... and instead of trying to FIX the issues, we turn out people who can't shake out the meaning behind
SIX LITTLE WORDS
