GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT

Apparently in the state of Colorado, you are "Guilty Until Proven Innocent" based on their court system.

President Trump (like him or hate him, he is currently still eligible to run for the office again) has been found such in CO, and will not be allowed to appear on their "Primary Ballots"

When we speak of the USA, and we think of what makes this nation so unique a few reasons might pop into our minds right off the bat:

~~ Free Speech
~~ Freedom of the Press
~~ Right to a Speedy Trial
~~ Innocence, until Proven Guilty

That last one is very important - and maybe its today's education system which seems to skim over the entire history of it.

You see back in the Old Country, in the Olden Days == way before my time, btw -- people were arrested "just because" and they would have to prove their innocence ... prove that they didn't/hadn't done a crime

Proving a negative is incredibly difficult ... its not like solving a math problem, its not that kind of "negative" .. but more of this later, maybe

The Colorado Supreme Court (so the highest you can go in the state, after this its to the District Appeals Court, then I think to the US Supreme Court) ... but here's their reasoning:

`We conclude that because President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under Section Three, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Secretary to list President Trump as a candidate ... We stay our ruling until January 4, 2024 (the day before the Secretary's deadline to certify the content of the presidential primary ballot).  if review is sought in the Supreme Court before the stay expires, it shall remain" Colorado Supreme Court, 19 September 2023

 

 

In one fell swoop they have not only decided that President Trump cannot appear on the ballot - but in order to do so, they had to prove guilt of Insurrection ... even though there has been no trail of such.  In fact, if I recall correctly, the Justice Department has said there is NO direct link between President Trump and the actions of the rioters on 6 January 2021 ... but apparently that doesn't count in Colorado!

Okay -- Trump said some stupid stuff on that date ... but he did say he wanted people to "peacefully march" to the Captial ... he did not say to bust into the building, he did not say to attack police/security, he did not say to ransack the place.

Despite the stories told of how supposeably he reached over from the backseat to grab the steering wheel, while punching the Secret Service men ... he would have needed at least 4 arms and a martial arts background to pull it off ... you need to remember a couple things ...

A) NONE of the Secret Service members would speak to Congress, not even in Closed-Door sessions, nor under promises/assurances of amenity. 

B) the stories didn't even come second-, mor even third-handed ... they came from a person who worked for a person, who said they knew a person who had heard ... this crapm is no better than Old Ladies gossiping over the backyard fence!

Yet, this was considered enough "proof" for Congress to try to charge President Trump ... which went NO WHERE because there was no evidence.

Normally I simply rail against "legeslating from the bench" but in this instance, they have decided the guilt of a person without a trail, without witnesses, without a hearing ...

OMG

Colorado has become ... Nazi Germany! or Russia under Stalin!!
