I don't always AGREE with what is said - but he puts the info out there, plain, simple, easy to consume.
And then there's THIS kind of tripe ...
According to this video, the diets over in Europe are so much better than the diets here in the US because EVERYTHING - even hamburger meat, according to his statement - are all "processed" foods.
Wait, what???
Actually - its not really his fault either though - you see the study puts anything containing such things as any type of sweetener, any type of yeast, any type of flavoring, well ... anything at all added to it as "processed"
(eye roll)
(eye roll)
Which would mean that anything which you COOK would become "processed" when you pay attention to it ... use salt? that's processed (even if its an all natural salt) ... adding fresh ground pepper? that's processed ... adding yeast in any form, even sourdough? That's processed ... making jelly? Don't add any sort of sweetener, that would make it processed!
My issue is that I'm going to guess that when they did the study, they went to places like NYC or Chicago or LA ... places which have a LOT of people who haven't really had to learn to cook ... geez.
And it sounds as if its not a scientific study either ....
A scientific study is a study which has a set of steps, which when follwed, can be repeated, with the same outcome, no matter WHERE the ingredients come from. Think "recipe" and not "library" ...
This seems more of a "Library" type of study.

It sounds like they may have gone - we think processed foods are bad, lets prove that ... and they gathered BIASED information to do just that.
I have not seen the study myself, but judging from what is said in the video, that is the conclusion I have found.
Especially when it came to "problems" associated with "processed" foods.
I'm sorry -- I know that a LOT of people these days, especially the millenials, prefer to stop and buy an already prepared meal ... but this study completely removes the "nurure" side of many of the mental health "problems" which they associate with a poor diet.
Just watch the video ... It is interesting.
And if you are in Europe and need to see a doctor, good luck getting an appointment within six-months ... its horrid over there.
