Despite what they are sying on the "news", ICE is not going after everyday, productive, only crossed for a better life immigrants ....
ICE is going after criminals .... the rapists, murderers, drug dealers, child molesters, wife beaters, etc .... those who fled their country so they didn't have to go to jail THERE type of people ....
Sometimes, yes, regular folk will get rounded up as well - wrong place, wrong time - but in general .... NO, the average immigrant is safe.
They generally are not he ones being chased through a field of strawberries.
AND despite what ABC news (Good Morning America, to be specific) ... the LAPD did not try to overrun the protesters wih their mounted police!
You need to understand the way these patrols work - it's the fricking "whipping" incident all over again - the MASS of the HORSE is used to move the crowd ... just like in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, they simply push foward or sideways and people move ...
While most big cities HAVE mounted police, they will rarely use them for anything other than parades or state fairs, but they are TRAINED TO MAINTAIN PEACEFUL dispursement of civilians.
If someone gets hurt, it's usually because THEY themselves did something really stupid - like not moving out of the way of a horses foot, or stood too close to a horse and got either kicked or batted with the horses nose .... I'm just saying.
But - until the PUBLIC holds the NEWS up to the light, they are going to fill it with a bunch of smoke .... and ABC should be more careful, they've got enough trouble on heir hands.
